A significant step forward for quantum in the UK. IonQ and the @Cambridge_Uni have opened the IonQ Quantum Innovation Centre at the Cavendish Laboratory’s new Ray Dolby Centre, creating a physical home for the University’s largest corporate research partnership. The Centre brings together Cambridge researchers and IonQ specialists across nine inaugural projects, from scaling quantum computers to exploring applications in finance, engineering and cancer research. It will also house a 256-qubit Superion quantum computer and quantum network, providing infrastructure to advance research and technology development. More than a research partnership, this is a long-term investment in the UK’s quantum future. By bringing together technology, infrastructure and scientific expertise, IonQ is helping build the capabilities, skills and opportunities needed to translate quantum science into real-world impact for researchers, start-ups and industry. The NVIDIA Accelerated Quantum Research Center (NVAQC) will have its first on-premise quantum computing deployment: an IonQ Superion 256 system. “We see this as the beginning of an exciting era of hybrid quantum-classical computing," says our CEO @NiccoloDeMasi. The NVAQC is designed to address the fundamental challenges of scaling quantum processors into a new class of accelerated quantum supercomputers. Connecting IonQ’s full-stack quantum systems directly with @nvidia AI infrastructure will help drive the breakthroughs needed to turn qubits into useful, large-scale quantum supercomputers capable of solving the world's hardest problems. Our quantum processing system will link directly with an NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 system via NVIDIA NVQLink. Workloads will be orchestrated by the open NVIDIA CUDA-Q platform. Two quantum Executive Orders. Years of bipartisan work building the United States’ quantum ecosystem. Together they reflect what a mission-ready quantum ecosystem in the U.S. looks like. With adversaries already engaging in “harvest now, decrypt later” strategies, the United States has moved from an era of scientific promise to one driving commercial impact and mission-ready capabilities. Read more on how the president’s quantum Executive Orders position the U.S. for national security in the quantum era in this blog by Rick Muller @rpmuller, Ph.D., SVP and Chief Scientist, IonQ Federal → ionq.com/blog/executive-orde… #IonQ #QuantumIsNow #FutureOfQuantum #PQC

From the dawn of modern cryptography to the race for space dominance, the U.S. government and its industry partners have always come together to secure the technological high ground. The next mission is quantum. Happy 250th Independence Day to all those serving our nation.
As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we are reflecting on the legacy of discovery that has defined the nation for two and a half centuries. From mastering electricity to pioneering the semiconductor, America’s trajectory has always been shaped by builders. Today, IonQ carries that legacy forward into the quantum era. This weekend is a celebration of the U.S. at 250, our men and women in uniform, and our country's spirit of innovation. Happy 4th!

"Today we made a deal with IonQ to start a phase one - of quantum securitizing our Lambda Rail starting with Miami Dade College, Palm Beach State College and Florida Atlantic University to spread it from there. That physical infrastructure... that fiber optic connection, that's how our universities, colleges partner - share classified confidential research and work with military assets." J. Alex Kelly, Florida Secretary of Commerce, announced yesterday at #eMergeAmericas a new partnership with IonQ. Stay tuned for details.

$IONQ A military submarine cannot communicate with the surface without revealing its position to adversaries. So it has to understand where it is in the world using only what it carries onboard. Vector Atomic (IonQ) builds gravimeters that map gravitational anomalies against subsurface ocean floor maps. A submarine equipped with one knows its position without transmitting a signal. The technology is deployed. The gyroscope was already launched to space.

$IONQ IonQ's Chief Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Officer Dean Acosta was at the Texas Public Policy Foundation alongside the Chair of the Texas House Homeland Security Committee and the Chair of the Texas Senate Economic Development Committee. His message was direct. China is closing the gap on US quantum capabilities fast. Other states are already purchasing quantum computers and building quantum ecosystems. Texas needs to do the same. Critical infrastructure like energy and water needs to be secured today. IonQ is not waiting for the market to come to them. They are running a state capital by state capital political campaign to make quantum a legislative priority across America.
