2020 UK:
‘stand outside and clap for care workers’ ‘we need to make the UK attractive to care workers’
2026 UK:
‘we have too many foreign care workers in this country’
‘unknown think thank say care workers will be a drain in 2030’

The numbers they don’t want you to know about immigrant care workers.
1/6
The anti-immigration circus is on a full-on attack, citing numbers they don't understand, and almost all the figures they cite are wrong.
First, the cost.
An 85-year-old woman who can’t wash or dress herself receives 14 hours of care a week. This costs the council £351 (£25.05 an hour). If no care worker comes and she ends up in hospital, the NHS spends £3,934 a week (£562 a day), which is 11 times the cost.
As of March 2026, an estimated 150,000 direct care posts in England’s private and charity-run care providers were filled by Health and Care visa holders. Taking the average working hours in the sector, this comes to about 225 million hours of care a year, worth £5.6bn at the rates councils pay.
For every £1 spent on social care, the NHS saves between 20p and 35p. So these workers save the NHS between £1.1bn and £2bn a year.
The total lifetime cost of these care workers and their adult dependants comes to £9.5bn. The NHS savings alone pay this back within 9 years.
And if no care worker comes, the family steps in. In March 2026, 1.4 million people were claiming Carer’s Allowance, 56,800 more than in February 2025. It pays £86.45 a week for at least 35 hours of care a week. In the UK, 544,000 working-age carers are out of work because of caring. This costs the economy £37bn a year in lost output. And this figure only includes those caring for people of working age. A daughter who has left her job to care for her 85-year-old mother isn’t even included in it.
So, how much does an unpaid family carer cost the taxpayer? According to UK data from 2017 to 2020, a working-age family carer who provides 10 or more hours of care a week costs the state £5,339 a year more than someone in a similar situation who doesn’t provide care: £3,691 in benefits, £1,620 in lost tax and £28 in extra NHS costs.
And demand will only keep rising; in England alone, 410,000 more care posts will be needed by 2040, just to keep pace with the growth in the population aged 65 and over. The number of people with dementia in the UK is projected to rise from 982,000 in 2024 to 1.4 million by 2040. Meanwhile, British workers in care are down 130,000 since 2020/21.

They said African languages were too fragmented, too complex and too commercially insignificant to build advanced AI for.
We disagreed. So we built it.
64 languages. 166 voices. 3 billion parameters. ONE model.
Today, we are unveiling STORM-Ensemble 3.0, the most capable multilingual speech synthesis model we have built at PlotWeaver.
From Yorùbá, Igbo, Hausa and Nigerian Pidgin to Swahili, Amharic, Wolof, Zulu, Xhosa and dozens more, STORM-Ensemble 3.0 generates speech across 64 languages, with 166 distinct speaker voices.
Every voice you hear is generated by our model, not a prerecorded sample.
But the real breakthrough isn't the numbers.
It's what becomes possible when this technology is in the hands of people who can build with it.
-African filmmakers distributing stories across languages.
-Banks and telcos serving customers in their mother tongues.
-Education platforms reaching more children.
-Developers building voice AI products without starting from scratch.
We are not building AI for African languages simply to prove it can be done. We are building the infrastructure to make our languages commercially viable at global scale.
Next week, I will be speaking at the Commonwealth Business Forum in Antigua about unlocking the Commonwealth's creative potential. This launch is a practical demonstration of that ambition.
Africa must not simply consume the future of AI. We must build, own and shape the infrastructure that powers it.
Watch the video. Listen to the voices. Imagine what's possible.
Introducing STORM-Ensemble 3.0.

If you are too much pro church denomination, there are depths of our faith walk you may never experience
You may be so consumed with people who attends your church without seeing how other Christians are your family members
There are others not of our fold!
The US needs to strengthen its labour laws. It’s not just about high salaries & all that other bvllshii.
EU workers are better protected by stronger labour laws, even if their salaries are lower. Consistent, reliable pay & job security will always beat high salaries under shaky labour laws, any day, any time
BREAKING: Microsoft, $MSFT, is offering buyouts to 60,000 workers as part of the company’s efforts to cut costs amid AI adoption, per Bloomberg.
Personnel on select teams in the US, Canada, India, and the UK at a vice president level and below will be eligible.
This reflects ~27% of Microsoft's total workforce.

APC youth leaders with 2026 Prado VS Nigerian soldiers eating bread and assorted running green tea.
The NHS cannot be privatised but to save it, it might need to follow the French healthcare system (Assurance Maladie)
Government covers ~70%of the bill and ~30% is covered by private insurance (most firms offer this to their staff), so all in all, you are fully covered.
None
If you contribute for 10 years, you will get the state pension no matter where you are (partial amount because you need to contribute for 35years to get the full amount)
Same with private pension - when it is time, you get 25% and the rest spread monthly

Once again.. to what end?
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

Nigerians complain about what is affecting them, but politicians tell us they are working.
Most times, they are spending money on projects that do not even make our lives better.
So we created trackrng.com where Nigerians can report issues anonymously.
