The Lakers are better when Vando’s unleashed. The lineup fits haven’t always been ideal, but a stretch 5 like Mamu helps with the spacing issues on offense. Glad he’s getting some love because his impact is beyond the box score.

It makes sense in this case. Since theyre getting literally nothing from Looney, it really doesnt hurt to go smaller even with Vandos struggles offensively. They lose nothing with this replacement, and just benefit from his hussle. Net positive.
