In this episode, @ezraklein takes one of the more adamant and sincere stances for trans rights I've seen from any prominent media figure, as well as challenging "free speech" as a veiled cudgel against us. Would be great to see other figures in this sphere do the same.

Rest In Peace Cashay Henderson. Found shot dead in an apartment fire. Misgendered and left unnamed by news reports. She deserved better. #blacktranslivesmatter #SayHerName

The reason this is expressed in percentages like this is because it hides the facts. An increase of 54% in charging means it goes from 1 in a hundred victims receiving a charge to 1.5 in a hundred getting charged. Still 98 in a hundred victims told their case is dropped.
Good news: in 2021/22 police referrals were up 51%, 54% more adult rape suspects were charged & 41% more cases going to court.
We’re quadrupling victim support funding & improving police & CPS collaboration.

Life is different if you don’t depend on our NHS or state schools. If you don’t need to travel by train or bus to get to work. If you swish through airports in private lounges. If you’ve never worried about losing your job, or paying the rent. Their Britain isn’t broken. Ours is.
