ALT Picture: giant eye made of thousands of portraits, selfies, pictures. Text reads: the eyes of the world on fighting the plastic crisis. Greenpeace is collaborating with artist Dan Archer to kick off treaty talks with something that world leaders can’t ignore – a giant eye flying over Busan, South Korea to hold leaders accountable. Its message is crystal clear: The Earth is watching! We have just weeks to help Dan collect images to build a giant flag with an eye made up of thousands of portraits and stories contributed by people from all around the world.

You see this, this is what happens in real life. The bots can't show up on the streets.
On the right there (yeah the far right) are the 6 nazis who turned up to cause mayhem.
Everyone else is there to stop them.
This is England.
So proud of the CinéTransat team! More magic to come cinetransat.ch
There's so much more to it: the why, impact, public space transformation, creation of a sense of belonging, of community, the joy, the dancing, the non-judgmental space. Love it

If walking costs you $1, we all pay $0.01. If biking costs you $1, we all pay $0.08. If bussing costs you $1, we all pay $1.50. If driving costs you $1, we all pay $9.20. Via @thediscourse study.
This isn’t just about choice. It’s about who pays for your choice.

The world is getting hotter. A hotter planet means more extreme weather and greater disaster risks.
Take urgent action now to reduce emissions and to manage disaster risks, for the sake of future generations.

¿What if we actually acted upon it? "he survey shows support by a global majority of 72 percent in favour of a quick transition away from fossil fuels. This is true for countries among the top 10 biggest producers of oil, coal, or gas." ox.ac.uk/news/2024-06-20-80-…

Billions of people are currently surviving in temperatures between 45 and 50C. This is "only" at a 1.5C global increase. At 2C, these regions will become unbearable for long periods of the year. The lack of a coherent plan for this is shocking. #Mitigation is urgent.
When do we wake up? How bad does it need to get?
