Unprecedented rainfall has resulted in unprecedented headaches for Upper EP farmers this season. 🚜 Bogged axles, paddocks like motocross tracks, tow tractors on standby. Thanks to each of the farmers who can now see the funnier side of things & shared their pics. #boggedbro

Both BOM maps from today. Seems a bit strange the long range isn’t picking up the forecast rain at all

Is it possible to find historic rain records that have been recorded into weeks instead of Months would be a lot better set out as week 1 through to week 52?

It’s been the driest period in living memory for most grain producers in South Australia. We continue highlighting to the State and Federal Government about the importance of equity in support measures as even those with the best planning are feeling the severe impact of the dry. It’s a tough time and we need to work through this together. More info on support, visit: pir.sa.gov.au/emergencies_an…

Anyone else found BOM rainfall forecast to be way too optimistic lately? Found they have changed the model they use at the start of august.

My feeling is they’ve probably changed from a 50% chance to 25% chance when they changed the models at the start of August.
