Michelle Wie West will play in the LPGA tournament she hosts next month, the Mizuho Americas Open, and then she'll play in one more USWO at historic Riviera Country Club. Getting prepped for these two events is a much different experience for her now that daughter Makenna, age 5, can join her on the journey. Loved this from my conversation with Wie West yesterday on what the game is doing to instill confidence in her daughter. “I remember her saying after she won a golf tournament and then she made two touchdowns in flag football over one weekend, the first thing that she said to me was not, ‘Are you proud of me?’ It was, ‘I'm so proud of myself.' And I think that’s when it just hit me.”
