Hello everyone,
PLEASE READ: IT'S URGENT
I'm currently facing the most difficult situation of my life. My wife finds herself in incredible need of medical care and support. I was provided some time through FMLA to take care of her, but I've run out. I was given the ultimatum to return to work on Tuesday or be considered as formally resigning from my role. While I'd like to maintain my job, my wife's safety is paramount. I need any assistance I can get to share this message. And if you do feel so inclined, please contribute to the fundraiser.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This is a recycled meme. The same "250 word essay... what to right" caption with this video and "oil rig" response has been posted multiple times before, e.g. Nov 2024 and June 2026.

Just became a Patreon of @Sierkovitz. Long overdue. He does incredible work for the MTG Limited community; a small monthly donation is the least I can do. If you would like to learn more about Limited, I can't recommend his content enough.

NOT AT CHILI’S BABY
10.99 for a burger with fries, bottomless chips and salsa and unlimited drink.
Prices in the US have absolutely lost the plot.
$20 for a burger and fries
$4.37 a gallon for gas
$80+ for a driving lesson
$3+ for a bottle of soda
$25-$30 for a basic takeout meal
$30+ for a short Uber ride
$150+ a week for groceries for one person
$170+ a night for a “cheap” hotel
Rent prices through the roof
Everything costs more and somehow wages never seem to catch up.
At this point we’re just getting robbed.

Some people on this site are fun and edifying to interact with, even in disagreements.
Others make it painfully obvious they only have two brain cells that are both fighting for third place.
