Illia defines what NEAR is today Ran Neuner: โ€œHow do you define Near today? What is Near?โ€ Illia: โ€œI define it as a vertically integrated stack for the future of AI and blockchain.โ€ โ€œWe started as an AI company. We were trying to teach machines to codeโ€ฆ and as we were doing that, we realized we wanted to pay people to collect training data and saw the gap in the blockchain payments layer.โ€ โ€œThe vision has always been that everybody will interact with computing through AI. And you need this infrastructure for ownership for owning your data, owning your decisions. Blockchain is a fundamental piece.โ€

Here's a detail about Starknet's quantum-resistance story that deserves more attention. The STARK proof system was published in 2018. Its foundation was hash-based cryptography rather than elliptic-curve assumptions. That choice matters today because the latter is what Shor's algorithm threatens on sufficiently powerful quantum computers. In other words, @Starknet isn't trying to replace its entire proving foundation because of quantum computing. The proof system already uses a different cryptographic approach. That's a useful distinction between building for a threat and reacting to one. There is still work ahead across accounts, contracts and Ethereum dependencies, so this isn't a claim that the whole network is already quantum-proof. Sometimes the most important security decisions are the ones made long before the threat becomes urgent. quantum.starkware.co

Timing matters more than many people think when it comes to GenLayer Pre-Mainnet Staking. Hereโ€™s a simple example: 1,500 GEN earns 1,500 Staking Points daily. After 30 days, that becomes 45,000 points. Wait another 10 days to start, and you miss 15,000 potential points. What makes this more interesting is that unclaimed GEN airdrops also count as staked from THE DAY, even while locked. For me, this is not just about holding GEN. Itโ€™s about consistency, timing, and earning a place in the validator ecosystem. The @GenLayer leaderboard makes that progress visible every day. Early participation can make a real difference. Are you already building your points?

Claude Code made a small change that could actually make a difference Background subagents now use way less of your usage limit just for status updates Apparently, those updates used to reread the whole conversation every 30 seconds. Now Haiku 5.5 handles them using short notes, cutting that cost by around 99%. The subagent still uses its own model, which is good. Getting around 6% more prompts from the same limit is a nice bonus, especially if you use background agents a lot.

One thing I found interesting about @strato_net is the team's history. They didn't just start building in crypto yesterday. The founders have been working on Ethereum infrastructure since 2014. Their Haskell client was one of the six clients compatible with Ethereum at launch. Then in 2015, BlockApps joined Microsoft Azure's Ethereum offering. In 2016, they were already working on real-world assets on Ethereum. Now, the team is taking that experience into a new direction with STRATO. They are building a Layer 1 for HardFi, where tokenized gold, silver, borrowing, trading and savings can work in one ecosystem. Joe Lubin, Ethereum co-founder and ConsenSys founder, is also an advisor to the project. For me, this background makes STRATO worth watching. The team has spent years working on blockchain infrastructure, and now they are trying to make actual assets more useful onchain. I think the experience behind a project matters just as much as the idea itself.

AI agents are scaling. But can we verify their data? ๐Ÿ“ˆ McKinsey (2026): 40% of $1B+ firms scale AI agents, up from 27% in 2025. Blockchains verify transactions - not their offchain API inputs. @primus_labs uses zkTLS to prove the origin of HTTPS data. Trust needs receipts. ๐Ÿ”
An AI agent says: โ€œI checked the price feed.โ€ Web3 asks: โ€œPROVE IT.โ€ ๐Ÿ‘€ Blockchains verify transactionsโ€”not the offchain API calls behind agent decisions. @primus_labs uses zkTLS to turn HTTPS activity into verifiable evidence, without exposing the data. Proof > promises. โšก

Most apps ask for far more information than they actually need ,Think about it .A marketplace wants to know if you're a trusted seller .A community wants to confirm you've been an active member for months .A financial app needs to check that your KYC is complete Why should any of them need access to your entire account to verify one detail? This is where @primus_labs and zkTLS become interesting: Instead of sharing your login or exposing your full activity, you can create a verifiable proof from supported Web2 data You could prove that an account belongs to you, show your reputation on a platform, or confirm a certain history of activity without handing over everything behind it The app gets the evidence it needs. Your private information stays yours And there's more to the Primus approach: .zkTLS brings real world web data onchain in a verifiable way .AlphaNet helps verify those proofs .FHE makes it possible to work with encrypted data, while Confidential Finance brings privacy to financial assets Different technologies, but a shared idea: You shouldn't have to reveal everything just to prove one thing That's a much better direction for the internet. s.kaito.ai/neKLXm0
Gm Ct ๐ŸŒž A private DeFi deposit sounds simple, but the way @primus_labs handles it is worth understanding On @BNBCHAIN , Primus Confidential Vault lets users convert United Stables $U into encrypted $eU From there, $eU can be transferred privately or deposited into a vault connected to @UnitasLabs to earn yield There's a useful detail in how deposits are handled They're grouped into batches that settle every 8 hours The overall amount flowing into the underlying strategy stays visible onchain, but individual deposit sizes aren't exposed So you can follow where the capital is going without knowing exactly how much each person put in I think that's a practical way to approach privacy in DeFi The goal isn't to make everything invisible. It's to protect individual positions while keeping the broader system open to verification And it's still important to remember that encryption doesn't eliminate smart contract risk or the risks of the yield strategy itself Privacy and safety are two different things Still, seeing this kind of design make its way into DeFi is encouraging Explore Primus XP: s.kaito.ai/neKLXm0

filming a street for AI training sounds simple until you remember how many strangers might walk into the frame. thatโ€™s a detail i appreciate about how @vangrid_io handles captures. faces and vehicle plates are blurred directly on the phone before the video is encoded. the original unblurred frames never need to leave the device. and contributors still have to respect location restrictions when recording. i think that matters quite a bit. robots need information about their surroundings, but that doesnโ€™t mean every person passing through those surroundings needs to become part of a public dataset. privacy isnโ€™t something you can just worry about after collecting millions of recordings. Vangridโ€™s capture process is explained here: docs.vangrid.io/contribute/cโ€ฆ

2.17 million zScore checks served on Etherscan. saw that number on the Zaps page and there's an important detail worth mentioning. it doesn't mean 2.17 million people used the product. it's the number of checks served, based on an August 2026 snapshot. still, i think the integration itself is interesting. @zerufinance has brought wallet reputation into a place where people already spend time checking transactions and addresses. zScore looks at onchain behavior and puts it on a 0โ€“1000 scale. a score can't tell you everything about a wallet, obviously. but having a consistent way to examine its history is more useful than judging it by balance alone. i've been looking into the system behind it: zaps.markets/?invite=Cu04Olwโ€ฆ

Verifying information from the web is important, but there's another side of the problem worth discussing: who holds the verifiers accountable? Explore here s.kaito.ai/FBtVbwB That's one area of @primus_labs that caught my attention. Their approach combines TEE attestation with a planned penalty mechanism to address situations where attestors fail to follow the required rules. But the real questions go deeper - What counts as misconduct? - How can violations be independently verified? - What consequences do dishonest operators face? - Are the penalties strong enough to discourage bad behavior? Since the penalty system is still planned, these are details worth watching as the design develops. Trust isn't just about having people verify information. It's about making sure those responsible for verification have something to lose when they act dishonestly. A system that rewards misconduct more than honesty hasn't solved the trust problem.
