How about we all simply agree, @elonmusk and @Thomas__Weber, that Hitler was a statist/collectivist and an enemy of classical liberalism. Though his economic misdeeds pale in comparison with his other sins. danieljmitchell.wordpress.co…
Hello @elonmusk, Hitler historian here, having researched & written about Hitler for 22 yrs & being a fellow of the Hoover Institution - not exactly a hotbed of far left ideas. This doesn’t add up. It is predicated on the false assumption that collectivism only exists on the Left

A great suggestion from @AdrianRavier. And Argentina almost certainly would win the prize for largest single-year reduction in the burden of government spending, thanks to @JMilei. danieljmitchell.wordpress.co…

Ordinary people are much worse off in France, which has a huge welfare state, than they are in the U.S. and Switzerland, which have medium-sized welfare states (1/2, link in reply)

New Hampshire still has the most economic freedom, but... (1/2, link in reply)

Yes, Belgium could suffer a fiscal crisis before France. danieljmitchell.wordpress.co…
Lost in all the Franco-doomerism is an even more problematic country - Belgium. It has a wider primary & overall deficit with both moving in the wrong direction (former has improved in France) & still no budget. No wonder its yields rose the most after France in current sell-off.

This post from @DanielKral1 is further evidence about the remarkable improvements in Greek fiscal policy (though a lot more spending restraint is still needed) danieljmitchell.wordpress.co…
🇪🇺 govt debt-to-GDP ratio is rising again, masking diverging dynamics. 🇫🇷🇧🇪🇫🇮 and increasingly 🇩🇪 are pulling it up. Conversely, 🇬🇷🇵🇹🇭🇷🇨🇾 and to a small extent 🇪🇸 pull in the opposite direction. Markets are attentive to this, hence different levels of contagion from 🇫🇷 sell-off.

Spot on, @SteveForbesCEO. I’ve been a loyal 1K flyer on @united Airlines. But why should I patronize $UAL in the future when its CEO is pushing evil and immoral wealth taxes? danieljmitchell.wordpress.co…
United CEO Scott Kirby wants a national wealth tax and inheritance taxes approaching 100%. Why not focus on improving service for customers paying more and getting less? If he wants to help Americans, he should focus on his customers, not punitive taxes. wsj.com/opinion/scott-kirby-…

For the rest of us, we can decide whether we want to fly on @united Airlines when the company CEO is pushing for a hard-left, class-warfare tax agenda that will hurt the incomes of ordinary Americans. danieljmitchell.wordpress.co… (2/2)
There’s a simple step Scott can take. He should tell the @united board to cut his $34 million salary to $30,000 and voluntarily mail the rest of it to the federal government. Whenever someone recommends socialism, they should agree to go first.

According to opensecrets.org, Scott Kirby of @united Airlines gives lots of contributions to leftist politicians such as Cory Booker and Dick Durbin. If he really cares about inequality, here’s a great suggestion from @AaronKlein. And here’s a link with the form he can use: danieljmitchell.wordpress.co… (1/2)

Don’t forget Trump’s idiotic protectionism. danieljmitchell.wordpress.co…
Dems will win the House next month because of Trump. Dems have a very good chance to win the Senate next month because of Trump. And Dems have a very good chance to have a governing trifecta after 2028 because of Trump. Specifically, because of Trump's corruption and Iran war.

Scott Kirby’s support of class-warfare tax policy shouldn’t be a surprise. If you go to opensecrets.org, you’ll find that the CEO of @united Airlines has been a big donor to left-wing politicians such as Senators Dick Durbin and Cory Booker.
United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby wants to show customers in seat 34B he feels their pain by endorsing a national wealth tax. Such virtue-signaling is cheaper than complimentary pretzels. on.wsj.com/485lKmq
