Applies equally to product management / growth: “It is remarkable how much long-term advantage people like us have gotten by trying to be consistently not stupid, instead of trying to be very intelligent.” — Charlie Munger

you really only need three things in life: an accurate understanding of the world as it actually operates, the agency to change it & your position within it, & the wisdom to know what’s really worth changing.

Muse D14 retention of 22 pct is impressive for a new app. But for perspective: a good mobile game will do D30 of 20 pct and a forever franchise like Instagram will do D365 retention of 60 pct. So long way still to go!
Meta Muse's retention is out, and it's almost as good as ChatGPT! It's higher than ChatGPT at D7 (>30%) and just lower at D14 (22%). Not quite in the elite D14 tier of WA (67%) YT (59%) Insta (54%) or TikTok/Snap (37%), though. Muse is one of the highest retaining AI products!

What’s happening in the AI-powered reverse engineering and decompilation is absolutely insane. Pretty soon all software will be de facto open-source. AI is coming for everything and everyone.

Figma CEO @zoink predicts "design is the new code" within a year as AI turns coding into raw material and pushes value into taste, product, and judgment: "A year from now, the same thing I think is very obvious now, which is that design is the new code." "If you believe that coding models will continue to get better, then it's the decisions you make about how to build a system that matter, not the code itself. The code is material." "The value rises to the top and that becomes brand, product design, your marketing, your point of view in the world, your judgment calls and strategy. Product design is really at the center of a lot of that." "Designers will have a bigger role to play if they step up. Not everyone will step up. Some people will be like, 'But I like what I was doing.'" @figma
Design is the new code.

I am going to try and answer a bunch of questions that people have raised about Sign in with ChatGPT in the next couple of days. Before that, I want to let you all in to why we shipped Sign in with ChatGPT (SIWC) in the first place. Clarify our intentions here before getting to the specifics.

there is almost zero point to complaining about virtually anything. you either change your perspective on the thing, you leave the thing, or you simply accept it. complaining is usually just the least useful fourth option & high cognitive load to boot.
