One major thing we achieved at the course of conducting the South East Maths Olympiad is digital literacy at scale amongst these children. Many of them from public schools have never seen nor touched a computer before. The mock exam revealed that to us, and we had to train them on basic computer use. We knew that the knowledge and experience will be essential for them and the South East Maths Olympiad gave them opportunity to gain the knowledge and conquer the fear at no cost. Next edition will be a lot bigger and within 3 years you will see that every school in the South East will be computer literate.

For someone thatbwill still deny dis very interview wit mehdi? Ohhh plsssssss DENIAL... ohhh sorry Daniel d LINUS
PRESS STATEMENT In the last 24 hours, social media has exploded over my interview with Mehdi Hassan, albeit with varied opinions. Let me set the record straight. When I signed on to the privileged job granted to me by Mr. President, I was well aware of its implications. Selling ice cream, looking fine, and seeking the praises of men were never part of it. Some of the fiercest critics of my interview can not even stand local TV anchors. But the task of promoting and defending the President and his administration is what I do with ease and joy. I am prepared to appear before any interviewer, anywhere in the world, any day and at any time, to defend this government and its policies. I have never, and will never, subscribe to ducking or dodging interviews on matters that concern promoting and defending the administration I was appointed to serve. It is the least of what is required of me. Head to Head contacted me requesting an interview, stating that they wanted to challenge our government on security, the economy, and corruption. Nowhere in our almost six months of communication did they mention that they were going to challenge my past. If that had been their plan, ethically and professionally, they were supposed to inform me so I could prepare my response. But that’s okay, ethically, that is on them, not on me. I refused to swallow the pill of Mehdi’s “opposition research-style journalism,” and even today, if you carefully compare what he read as quotes from organisations and groups, you will see that many were inaccurate and some were outright fake news. But I will leave that for another day. As for what I said about President Tinubu in the past, I am glad those were things I said when I was in the opposition saddle with such zeal. It is all politics. Half of Donald Trump’s cabinet is made up of people who once spoke against him, and quite a number of people in our own cabinet also spoke against President Tinubu in the past. Those things do not bother him if you care to know. The majority of the naysayers are members of the opposition and their sympathisers. It does not bother me one bit. Their temporary excitement over the interview has not lasted and will not last, because it does not take away their obvious problem of lack of vision, mission in conducting and managing a political party; yet they seek to manage Nigeria. Clearly they have no path to victory and no alternative policies or program for the Nigerian people. And if they say they do, they can as well go to head to head and be interrogated on that; as the saying in Hausa goes “Ga fili Ga doki” I conclude by thanking the many Nigerians and non-Nigerians who sent in their commendations over my brave defence of our government in an interview where the anchor would hardly let you answer a question unless it suited his narrative. I still have admiration and respect for Mehdi Hassan as arguably the best debater on the planet. I look forward to part two of the Head to Head interview, and I am glad that by then questions about my past will no longer be news so that we can focus on our administration’s policies, programs and what we have achieved so far. Stay tuned. – D.H Bwala Special Adviser to President on Media and Policy Communication (State House) Saturday March 7, 2026

Exactly my thoughts after reading all that... what is STOP? and We are ready to deploy if requested... omo
Replying to @EmmanuelMacron
France is “calling for de-escalation” while simultaneously saying it stands “ready to deploy resources to protect its partners.” So which is it Emmanuel? Peace or war? You can’t call for a ceasefire with one hand and wave a weapon with the other. Piss for one place make e foam

FISCAL RECKLESSNESS With the announcement that the Nigerian Senate is likely to approve the 2026 National Budget on March 17, every Nigerian is asking an important question: which budget will Nigeria use this year? Will it be the budgets for 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026, or some combination of all these years? It is worth noting that as of last year, in our government, implementation of budget items from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 budgets was in a unique approach to budgeting, which continues to perpetuate a trend of fiscal recklessness. President Tinubu inherited a legally signed N21.83 trillion budget for 2023. A few months after taking office, he presented a N2.17 trillion supplementary budget that faced widespread criticism for prioritising benefits for public office holders at a time when Nigerians were enduring painful economic reforms without a credible social protection framework. Instead of restoring fiscal discipline, the President repeatedly expanded the 2023 budget without a clearly defined end date. The pattern persisted with the passage of a N35.06 trillion budget for 2024 and a N54.99 trillion budget for 2025. In less than three years, President Tinubu has exercised appropriation powers over more than N114 trillion in public spending. Yet, the government has failed to achieve even fifty per cent budget implementation, exposing a profound crisis of budget credibility. Alarmingly, until mid-2025, Nigeria was effectively operating with about three overlapping budgets, without clear legal or fiscal guidance on when each one expired or began. No serious country manages its budgets or fiscal operations in such a manner. Even more troubling is the government’s opaque decision to repeal the 2024 and 2025 budgets and re-enact them with extended implementation timelines. Nigerians have not seen these re-enacted budgets, and there is no public information regarding the specific capital projects included or their associated costs. This is not reform; it represents fiscal obscurity elevated to the level of state policy. The proposed 2026 budget, despite still lacking critical details, indicates that the administration has no intention of addressing the structural weaknesses at the core of Nigeria’s public finance system. This lack of transparency is not accidental; it reflects a deliberate pattern of undermining public scrutiny and debate. The Federal Government has stopped publishing treasury reports on the OpenTreasury.gov.ng portal, dismantling a vital transparency framework inherited from the previous administration. In 2025, no budget implementation report was released, regardless of how poor the performance was! No nation can operate with such recklessness and succeed. Every effort must be made to quickly return Nigeria to the January-December budget cycle that was inherited and mismanaged by the current government. This change would enhance effective planning and tracking, promote transparency and accountability, and foster sustainable growth and development. A new Nigeria is POssible! -PO

Am i d only one who understood this piece of statement as sarcasm? He was quoting most of what he said there which appears to be a mockery on the establishment.. we are too emotional to read rationally now?
It’s unfortunate and tragic to read the New York Times report that the claim of ‘Christian Genocide’ was sourced from one Emeka,an Onitcha based Screwdriver Trader and ‘operator of a small NGO’ who falsely claimed to have documented “125 thousand Christian deaths” using “google searches”.How such an unverified claim could tensed up the US lawmakers,President and the intelligence community, that led to an airstrikes is one of the most foolish and comical historical events in our lifetime. This is shameful.

President Bola Tinubu should declare a 3-day national mourning period in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari As a mark of respect for his years of service to Nigeria, all work activities should be suspended nationwide Let the country mourn a leader who gave his all.

I've just come out of a conversation with a contact who is engaged in the Sahel, and the one piece of advise I have for the multiple Burkinabés from media, academia and civil society who are currently being contacted by the usual suspects to lend their vocal and intellectual support to the artificial anti-Traoré bandwagon that Paris and DC are putting together is this: Remember that there is nothing special about you. The same way they're reaching out to you and acting as if they respect you and your work, is the same way they've reached out to many of us across the sub-region. I promise you are not special to them at all. You're just useful. For now. The respect and reverence they are treating you with is the same affected "respect" they have bamboozled us with for 500 years, because they know that nothing gets a black man's pussy wet like receiving "respect" and "honour" from his European overlords. They did the same thing in Nigeria between 2011 and 2015. Every squirrel, antelope, Aisha, Dipo, and Japheth who offered even the mildest criticism of Goodluck Jonathan was immediately carried aloft and paraded around as a champion of this and that by the oyibos. It didn't take them long to figure out that "Jonathan Must Go" was their ticket to what seemed like everlasting favours, treats, and funding from oyibo, and they all started unanimously pushing to oust the president that took Nigeria to #1 economy in Africa and 3rd fastest growing on the planet. Many of these people didn't even dislike Goodluck Jonathan - they just saw that pretending as if Nigeria was being ruled by Pol Pot was their ticket out of poverty and obscurity. Some of them built this career grift in 24 months all the way from Twitter into Chevening scholarships, IVLPs, Mandela Washington Fellowships, speaking appearances in Taiwan, Canadian passports, etc etc. But those were only the lucky few. The vast majority of this demographic got discarded like a used pure water bag immediately the oyibos got their desired regime change. Since they got their regime change, Nigeria has fallen off a cliff from #1 to #4 in Africa, losing over 60% of GDP in just 10 years. I will repeat that for emphasis. While other countries in Africa grew at 2-5% annually over the past 10 years, Nigeria SHRANK by over 60%, and you can now find Nigerians desperately searching for a better life in Burkina Faso, Algeria, Mali, Libya, Tunisia, Liberia, and even Niger which used to hold the title of "poorest country in the world." Most of the loudmouths who helped make this a reality have fallen back into obscurity and poverty. Many of them are in their 40s and 50s now, and they're still busy chasing gigs and hunting for $1000 here, $2,500 there. A few of them did become puppet unicorns, but the vast majority are back to being absolutely nobody 10 years after they allowed foreign attention and dollars to override their natural caution and stampede them into the 2nd worst ever national mistake in Nigeria's history after the completely unnecessary civil war. Many of them walk around in a constant state of confusion now, unable to understand why their lives are much worse nowadays, and the oyibos who seemingly cared so much about whatever they had to say between 2011 and 2015 are no longer answering the phone or replying messages. If you allow these same oyibos to inflate your egos and use it to push your mouths into parroting their narrative for their own geopolitical goals, the exact same thing will happen to you. Before you allow the thirst for white people's validation and money to shape your responses to the questions they are currently deluding you with, just ask yourself this one question: All those years when Burkina Faso was the deadest country on the planet and Blaise Campaore's regime was shooting Burkinabés dead in the street, where were all these bleeding heart white people? Why didn't they care then? Why do they care about Ibrahim Traoré now? What is this REALLY about? 💡

One of my favorite Igbo proverbs is: ‘If the gods misbehave, we’ll show them the tree they were carved from.’ It’s a powerful reminder that even deities are not beyond accountability. It reflects a deep sense of self-awareness and individualism the recognition that no matter how great the powers around you may seem, your existence remain just as valid.”

If the student or their parents have ever defaulted on "any previous loan" (i.e if they have missed payments on Palmpay, Opay and Lapo before), they are not allowed to apply for the loan!😂 Again, guess who this disqualifies!

INEC has continued to disobey court orders to give LP and PDP the necessary electoral materials they requested, and for some reason, the Tribunal has been weak to enforce its own orders.

What's that testimony you have that can motivate someone today?
