Loved having @MU_Foundation with us yesterday on the 103rd anniversary of the women's football ban.
School groups found out more about women's football with special talks and object handling sessions, before collaborating on a banner celebrating the women's game. ❤

We’ve loved seeing what stories everyone comes up with! We’ve had olympics, aliens, and Harry Kane - I can’t wait to see what else people come up with! ⚽️📖
We had a fantastic time at Central Library, and loved seeing children storyboarding their own stories!
You can craft your own footy fairytales across summer with Sophia Hatfield this Saturday, or as part of our #BluePeterBookClub next Friday.

Popped in to see the @RoyalNeedlework BA show today and was blown away. The students’ work was stunning and so creative. Truly gobsmacking talent on show. I can’t wait to see where their hand embroidery skills take them 🪡

Nine supremely talented artists, representing their football heroes through various disciplines and media.
An exhibition on those people who have truly made their mark on the game, opening to the public on Friday 17 May.
Such an honour and a pleasure to have Lucy visit the @FootballMuseum for the opening of our brand new exhibition - watch this space for lots of exciting programming coming up alongside it! ⚽️🤩
Lovely morning at the iconic @FootballMuseum where I have the honour of being included in the new exhibition (alongside some real legends) and had the privilege to be involved in its official opening. manchestereveningnews.co.uk/…
So excited to launch these workshops - if you or anyone you know are interested then get in touch! Some amazing artists that I am absolutely buzzing to work with! 🤩

Another lovely donation this week - this time from Paul Wade
Self described "gofer" for BBC Outside Broadcasts at the 1966 World Cup, where he looked after foreign radio broadcasters, as he spoke 🇩🇪🇫🇷🇪🇸
Paul later covered WC's for the World Service.
Love the staff pass!

We’ve had an amazing #TakeoverDay at @footballmuseum!
We’ve had new curators, conservators, and exhibition designers for the day thanks to @kidsinmuseums.
Staff can now put our feet up with the museum in the safe hands of @StMarysMossSide ⚽️

We've loved our #TakeoverDay, it's made us look at the museum and galleries differently, and we've had lots of feedback from @StMarysMossSide about how we can make it more fun for children - we can't wait for the next one!
