caveman and ponytail make Claude write less. I built Chisle from both, then noticed most of my token bill wasn't Claude's replies.
It was tool output: build logs, test runs, giant grep results. All of it stays in context and gets billed again every turn.
So Chisle also trims big tool output before Claude sees it (keeps start, end and error lines, drops repeats, never touches Read/Edit/Write) and makes it grep first, then read only the slice it needs.
Answers stay short. Commits and security warnings don't.
npx chisle sets it up for Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Kiro, Copilot and more. The benchmarks include the runs where it loses.
