We're announcing the public beta of datavendor.ai
We spent the last two years building the best solution for people buying and selling data, whether you're a researcher in a lab or a company trying to sell data.
Data is the fundamental bottleneck for AI progress, and DataVendor will be the infra that solves it.
fitting that zoox is in a museum
anything that takes over 25 mins drive to cover a 12 min walk belongs behind glass where it can’t hurt anyone
car: 6 mins
walk: 12 mins
zoox: 23 mins ride + 6 mins walking
Thursday nights at @SFMOMA just got more interesting. This week, for one night only, Zoox is bringing an installation to the museum! Come see what it’s like to step inside our robotaxi.

it’s not ready for paid rides from my extended testing (50+ rides). zoox has about 30 cars active in sf atm
- you need to call customer support to end a ride early. there’s literally no way to emergency pull over without talking to a human
- the api is not secure. you can book rides even during high demand. they don’t block it off on the backend
- driving is way too aggressive / un safe at times. running red lights, over braking that almost causes heart attacks
- cabin stinks when you enter the car sometimes, no good air circulation (no windows)
- pickup and drop off is iffy during high traffic
once you start asking people to pay for rides the expectations are a lot higher and I don’t think Zoox is there yet at all
After years of testing, Zoox is taking the next step and getting ready to launch paid robotaxi rides.

it’s been so cool to see @parth220 and co build HUD over the last year. they are growing like crazy and actively hiring
some of the smartest and empathetic people I have met
Today, HUD is excited to share our Series A funding!
We are the platform for building high quality post training datasets. Over 50 businesses use HUD to build RL environments, sell them to AI labs, or train their own models from them.
Our mission is to enable a generation of data entrepreneurs. The previous generation built apps to impact the world. We believe people will build infrastructure around data, both digital and physical, that align AIs to their specific goals.
We’ve raised $16M in total funding from @Standard_Cap, @ycombinator, @ExceptionalCap, @Liquid2V, @twentytwovc , amazing angels such as @dylan522p from @SemiAnalysis_, @tszzl, @ivanburazin, @theo, and more!
