First, the AMNS steel plant will set up its factory elsewhere, but poor Odisha citizens will suffer the raw material extraction and pollution; the same applies to JSW.

I finally watched this video that everyone is talking about. Not that much of this information is new, but it’s disturbing to see how things unfolded one after another. The business-politician nexus is nothing new either, but the level of dependency created with this specific case is a big red flag. Just imagine what happens if the businessman fails. A lot could crumble with him.
“Industry or ହଳ ଲଙ୍ଗଳ” is a false binary. We should welcome industries, not surrender scrutiny.
One outrage I see is over the speculated NALCO proposal for an aluminium plant in Andhra Pradesh using bauxite from Odisha.
We protest when plants go outside Odisha, and we also protest when they come to Odisha.
Look at AP. They wholeheartedly welcome industries. But in Odisha, AC-room activists complain about the environment, water, and everything else.
Either we welcome industries or go back to farming(with ହଳ ଲଙ୍ଗଳ). We cannot just keep complaining about everything.
DON’T REPEAT THE BAUXITE STORY.

“Tribals are Hindus.” Okay then treat them as your own beyond words. What I find difficult to understand is this: you claim them as your own, yet you do nothing for them. Then, when someone actually goes there, lives among them, works with them, and supports their lives and livelihoods, you immediately oppose or question that person. What kind of mindset is that?
Calling them “Hindus” may satisfy your ego, but will that feed a hungry family? Will it protect their land and forests? Will it give their children a better future? If you truly believe they are your brothers and sisters, show it through what you do for them. Otherwise, the label means very little.
This isn’t just for you, Dr. Manoj. It’s for everyone parroting “conversion”, “missionaries”,etc etc while doing precious little for the people they claim as their own.

That is the sole purpose of recent MMDR act . Mineral rich states can’t collect additional tax from mining companies as per state’s requirements rather they have to depend on central government’s approved rates.

Hello Dr. @dashman207. As a doctor, Dr. R@ndu@ should be taking care of his patients in his clinic. Why was he showing his @ss to the tribals at Sijimali.
Another point: why did he choose Kalahandi, even though there are many other underdeveloped areas populated by tribal communities?
Lastly, hardly anyone wants to stay in the KBK region despite the government offering special KBK allowances and extra marks for PG aspirants. Why, then, was he so eager to come to Kalahandi? His intention is not to serve the tribals; rather, it is a cover for a hidden conspiracy. But you fail to see this because you are looking at it through political spectacles.

Within little more than a month, Lada Sikaka, Dr Randall Sequeira and Laxman Naik, all associated in different ways with movements opposing bauxite mining were arrested.
Sept 10: Lada Sikaka connected to Niyamgiri protest arrested

Sept 27: Anil Agarwal meets Odisha CM and subsequently spoke about Niyamgiri which was a closed case after the 2013 SC judgment .
↓
Oct 16: Dr Randall Sequeira and Laxman Naik arrested in connection with the April Kantamal incidents.
😂 Then comes our local Sherlock Prasad who apparently solved the mystery of Randall Sequeira’s arrest with a Google map of churches around Lanjigarh, Kasipur and Tikiri.

Are you a doctor in real life or a twitter profile only? If real , Do you treat humans or animals? Do you ever differentiate between patients based on their color, ideology, caste, or religion?
What do you think about doctors like Dr. Randall who choose to work in remote areas and serve people there?
Does being a doctor create a stronger desire to serve society, especially the poor and disadvantaged, or is that an old-fashioned way of looking at the profession?
1. Paddy already in the grain-filling stage? Wow, that’s very fast, and probably not accurate. What I see on the ground is pre-heading to early flowering. Pic attached.
2. Precisely my point. Advisories issued? Good. Now the necessary support must reach farmers at the block level.
3. Am not sure why he need to give Hindi briefing but that had no mention of farmers. Hence my criticism.
And btw, it’s Odia, not Odiya.
