Correct. There are always multiple waves of selling. During dotcom, first wave was in March 2000. The real selling started in Sept 2000 after CSCO crapped out.
During GFC, there are waves. Last one catching people off guard was Feb 2009 one. March bottomed in March 2009.
What gold does next has already been determined by today's dovish hold. It's worse than Arthur Burns in the 1970s, who at least raised rates for two years to fight the second wave of inflation. Once the AI bubble bursts, the Fed will lose any chance to hike. Today was likely the last chance to do it. Gold takes off in negative real rates.

US SEPTEMBER PCE INFLATION RISES TO 3.6%, MATCHING EXPECTATIONS
Headline PCE inflation rose 0.5% month over month, matching forecasts and accelerating from 0.3% in August.
Key figures:
🔸 Headline PCE YoY: 3.6% vs. 3.6% expected; prior 3.4%
🔸 Core PCE YoY: 3.1% vs. 3.1% expected; prior 3.0%
🔸 Core PCE MoM: +0.3% vs. +0.3% expected
🔸 Services ex-energy/housing: +0.4% MoM
🔸 Core PCE ex-housing: +0.3% MoM
🔸 Personal saving rate: 3.8% vs. 4.0% prior
This is how gold behaves during an energy driven stagflation shock where the Fed's reaction function becomes severely trapped.
Even worse, current debt-to-GDP levels completely rule out a Volcker-style rate shock to kill inflation. Squeezing rates that high today would trigger instant fiscal insolvency.
Gold went up 8 fold from the 1976 low to the 1980 high. In today's terms, that’s equivalent to $32,000 gold over 5 years.

FINALLY! A reporter ( from Korea!!) finally asks Warsh the obvious question: why is the Fed doing QE to the tune of $40b a month if you said QE should only be used in emergencies?? Answer: waiting for the task force report. 😂😂. And gold is DOWN???

Warsh: The Fed will have 8 meetings as scheduled in 2027, but one won't have a vote on monetary policy settings and instead focus on strategy. In 2028, two of the 8 meetings will be devoted to policy strategy. Those meetings won't be "live."

WOLFE RESEARCH SEES STRONG UPSIDE FOR SK HYNIX
Wolfe Research reiterated its Outperform rating on SK Hynix ($SKHY ) with a $250 price target, citing strong demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) used in AI infrastructure.
Analyst Chris Caso sees potential upside from HBM pricing, increased memory production, and attractive valuation at approximately 4.5 times bull-case earnings.
Wolfe also estimates SK Hynix could generate enough free cash flow to repurchase 28% of its shares over two years, assuming its projected shareholder-return policy.
