Fantastic reply Parag. Never thought I'd say it but this is great form
Parag Agrawal (@paraga) on how he dealt with pressure during @elonmusk’s takeover of Twitter: “Through the Twitter acquisition, I used to track my sleep score. And I was sleeping fine.” “If you know what you must do, you do it. You don't have to feel pressure.” “The world can come at you, but if you know what you're capable of & you have a slightly long-term view.. you don't have to feel pressure. You have to perform every day, which is a completely different thing.”

We've identified & fixed an issue impacting our international platform, Polymarket.com. One of our 3rd party providers was compromised, and we have referred this to relevant law enforcement. Anyone who has been impacted will be made whole. Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily halted trading & are working to bring the platform back online.

I don’t know how long it’s going to take some of you to realize this has been a bubble for a very long time. Professional opinion, not advice: exit the AI space while you still can. Woe to you in an index fund in your 401(k), because you’re 60% invested in this stuff without even realizing it.

I agree with this - and it's nothing new. Humanity continues to exceed our wildest expectations over the long term. The key with AI is that it pulls time forward, which is the key differentiator; cycles speed up and create different effects than typical inflections
It should be said again and again: Post-scarcity ASI will change human life to such an extreme extent that what we today consider a baseline, normal level personal happiness will probably be impossible without wire-heading or chemical intervention.

Wild shooting. In the best part of Canada. And we can't even describe the suspects visually

Canada will raise once more in December. Time to buy real estate will be March 2027. What did we think was going to happen?

Red Death March unfort
🚨 JUST IN: Marco Rubio is getting a prolonged STANDING OVATION on stage with President Trump RUBIO: "It's an HONOR to work for the greatest country in the world for the greatest PRESIDENT in the HISTORY of the United States of America!" 🇺🇸 That energy is insane 🔥🔥 It is clear that America loves Marco, the absolute GOAT! He traveled here on BUSINESS with 47 but it's clear Trump wasn't letting him get away with not going on stage 🤣

so is he basically saying that there are endless improvements as long as we keep scaling this thing? i understand that back in 2019 there was a lot of room for improvement, but is it still the case now?

The hall of fame for capital destruction: WeWork: raised $22B, peaked at $47B. Went bankrupt; Yardi bought 60% for $337M. Peloton: raised $1.9B, peaked at $45B. Now worth ~$2B. Who else?

Outrageous
Cognition has received investor offers valuing it at $70B to $80B and is seriously considering a round before year-end, though talks are early and terms could change. Those offers came weeks after Cognition raised more than $2B at a $48B valuation in September. At $70B to $80B, investors would pay about 78x to 89x that revenue figure, up from 53x at $48B. The range would also top the $60B SpaceX paid in stock for Cursor maker Anysphere, which passed $2B in annualized revenue by February. That deal took Cursor out of reach for venture investors, leaving Cognition among the few large independent coding-agent startups they can still buy into.
