If Trump wins this election, historians will mark how lucky/random it was that his 2024 campaign happened to overlap with a billionaire's psychotic break. The billionaire will of course later express regret, but that will be a footnote.

Reposting this tweet from 2022. Very glad to see MA DOJ ripping the lid off of dangerous police incompetence and probable corruption. @DMAnews1
An unbelievable and outrageous story, and the pro-Stoughton PD comments on bostonglobe.com suggest the corruption is ongoing. The investigation into Sandra Birchmore's death should be reopened outside of Norfolk County. bostonglobe.com/2022/06/20/m… via @BostonGlobe

Joe Biden will go down in history as one of the greatest presidents of our time. He led our nation out of a deadly pandemic and rescued our economy.
I am excited to endorse @KamalaHarris for President, and give her my full support!

One candidate for Supreme Judicial Court clerk is an accomplished trial lawyer widely respected by her peers at the MA bar, the other is a retiring Boston politician with no legal experience looking for a sinecure. This is not close. bostonglobe.com/2024/07/07/m…
Today's Twitter narrative that savvy Dems don't think a Trump victory would be that bad is (1) utter horseshit, (2) dorky chatterboys wanting to seem like insiders, and (3) as with all things media- or Twitter-related today, helpful in our sleepwalking turn away from democracy.
This is so perfectly on-brand. If "no one agrees with me or listens to a word I say" were a person:
I am neither MAGA nor progressive nor Republican nor Democrat … and I don't intend to vote for president because there is no candidate in the race (including 3rd-party candidates) who is fit to lead the country. And since, like most Americans, I vote in a state whose electoral outcome is a foregone conclusion, I feel no obligation to make a lesser-of-two-evils choice.
Orban meets with Putin one week, Xi the next, and Trump the next. Clinton had it wrong -- half of Republicans are stupid and the other half genuinely hate our country. nytimes.com/2024/07/11/us/po…

Betsaida was one of the fiercest, take-no-bull activists I had the pleasure to write about. She did a lot to make this city, and Jamaica Plain in particular, a better place.

Alex Rodriguez asked a question. Reggie Jackson answered it.
(Shouts to the producer and rest of the desk for staying out of Reggie’s way and just letting him talk. I doubt they expected this answer. But it’s a great few minutes of television.)
The news media spend 90% of the time amplifying pro-Trump narratives and the other 10% lucidly observing that people seem to only know the pro-Trump narratives. wapo.st/4esfJCo

Oh, so that's why X is making likes invisible.
NEW from me: JD Vance, a top candidate to be Trump's VP liked tweets in 2016 and 2017 that harshly criticized Trump and his policies — including one speculating that he'd serve in a Clinton administration.
Other tweets liked by Vance said Trump committed “serial sexual assault,” called him “one of USA’s most hated, villainous, douchey celebs." A since-removed set of tweets, also harshly criticized Trump’s response to the White nationalist rally in Charlottesville – something he now defends Trump over.

Every time I see a picture of Evan Gershkovich since his arrest, he appears to be thinking of the great book he is going to put out when all this is over, and the book tour, and it cheers me up. bostonglobe.com/2024/06/13/w… via @BostonGlobe

I talked to a rich woman at a party recently who has spent years helping people manage fertility struggles through (in part) access to IVF, and who also confided that she had recently become a Republican. Welcome back from stupidity.
