Personally I think most anime villain groups are sauced up but that Akatsuki fit is unequivoally a cut above the rest.

Requiring fans to listen to a podcast just to figure out what’s canon in a rebooted cinematic universe is beyond stupid ngl. ​James Gunn fired Cavill, Affleck, Fisher and Gadot to start fresh, but kept his own family/friends and needs a podcast to justify it 😭

Doing this now is only gonna hurt the DCU and your credibility (imho). I would've respected it more if you left TSS wholly in the DCEU and started fresh. However, all of this tells me the film you're writing is probably another Suicide Squad film.

Even if you want to say the trailer is out, that exists as a teaser for it's showing at TIFF. Do you honestly expect us to keep talking about the trailer of a film that doesn't have a release date for weeks/months? BUT when it does you can be sure we'll hype it up accordingly.
