Found out today that I am a direct descendant of William Brewster of the Mayflower. He is my 12th great grandfather.
He was the most senior leader of the Separatist on the Mayflower and helped draft the Mayflower compact.
His life story embodies the Separatist quest for religious freedom, marked by persecution, exile, and pioneering settlement in the New World.

I’ve crunched the numbers on this a million times and I actually think there’s a decent chance that Gavin Newsom is sworn in as President before the California election officials finish counting the ballots that are cast today to determine his successor.
Four years ago, in the 2022 midterm election, I ran for the California state senate in one of the closest elections in California state history. With little resources and support, outspent 4 to 1, we got within 13 votes of winning.
Today @GuillermoForCA has an opportunity to finish the job. He has worked his tail off and the CAGOP has ponied up the support. Today is the first day of 30 days of counting ballots in California. Anything can happen, but I am bullish, especially with @USAttyEssayli as the watchdog in SoCal now.
