The amazing Streetwise Opera performers in Nottingham posed on Tuesday with the @RoyalPhilSoc 2025 #RPSAward we received earlier this month for Re:Discover Festival. This award is a valuable recognition of the creativity, courage and dedication of our participants, and of the festival’s celebration of composers of African and Caribbean heritage.
We had a blast on Saturday at @ManJazzFest.
Thanks to everyone who came out. 🌞

Please, please will someone sample @amolrajan saying: "I can't accept Drum & Bass. We need Jungle, I'm afraid." 👊
The final train back to Brum was delayed for ages the other night! 🙄
Ended up chatting to this lovely lady, Jo, an actress in the west end. We played piano together and decided to do a little song to pass the time.🎵
Chance encounters are often some of the loveliest moments!

I’ve been sinking hours into adventure games and listening to loads of Shostakovich, Scriabin etc.
Here’s a tiny little snippet of a new piece. 📝

Oh and obviously we got some of brum's best artists to perform and lil old me gets to call them my friends... 🥺 @NAMYWAmusic, Sipho and @davidaustingrey, who are all outrageously talented.
Well, last week was a fun one! Myself and 3 of our exceptional Hippodrome Young Advocates spoke a room of CEOs of our arts, culture and sports biggest orgs/funders, including @HENLEYDARREN. Never thought I'd get that chance, let alone 3 young people getting to do it. 🥲

A joy to hear @thenotebenders perform at @mostly_jazz Jazz Funk & Soul Festival.
They played a great set and I’m really happy to have written their opening piece, as part of @BCMG's Flourish project.
Many thanks to James, Liam and the whole band for all their hard work.

School can be the only place young people get the opportunity to learn music; yet government cuts to the arts are causing a creativity crisis, and those from minoritised backgrounds are often hit the hardest. Please help us reach out through Future Sound🙏
