Big shout out to the #OCI team for all the amazing work they do to ensure containers are reliable and the cloud ecosystem can grow. Thank you from me and the @architect_team! #containers #devops

I can't stress enough how important it is that CI/CD processes be reliable and FAST. Even the most reliable processes will be skipped over entirely if they can't keep up with the developers they're supposed to serve.

I am beyond happy to have welcomed @DevMandy to our team recently. Architect is the endgame for developer-led ops, and dependency awareness was the key!

Even software engineers need a dress rehearsal. Check out my latest post on what it takes to run a software rehearsal - also known as "staging".

Congrats on your first post under the @architect_team umbrella, Michael! Michael comes to us from Facebook, and worked with me at all my prior startups. He's a brilliant engineer, and his posts are great for those interested in engineering deep dives on a variety of subjects.

I thought it was about time I created a clear playbook for running production environments at different corporate stages. Anyone care to share what their infra looks like? #devops #CloudNative

Infra engineering is this strange world where oftentimes the most impressive/difficult/time consuming works manifests in the form of “this change was made, there weren’t any fireworks and it was totally uneventful and boring”

We use Terraform a TON to power our product and apply changes to environments, both with Kubernetes and ECS clusters. Great write-up by Ryan Cahill on how Kubernetes and Terraform play nicely together. #terraform #kubernetes

This was a fun one for me to write since so many of our customers are implementing or looking to implement event-driven architectures. I particularly enjoyed debunking a few myths about the pattern, so be sure to check it out! #microservices #digitaltransformation

Modern tools have made #microservices a more appealing and more widely available pattern, but it quickly creates networking complexity that didn't exist before. If you or your team is having trouble managing microservices at-scale, come check out my talk at @DeveloperWeek!

#AIOps is great for issue diagnosis, but I wouldn't trust it for automated remediation of infrastructure or security issues. The cost of being wrong is too high, and when AI is wrong it's REALLY wrong.

Inter-process communication via message brokers, like @RabbitMQ, are an extremely popular way to maintain fault tolerance in microservice-based applications. Check Dan Barrett's latest tutorial showing how to setup a production-ready implementation!

Had a great time discussing operational strategies for engineering teams with @seekayel. Listen in on his channel, @QuantSoftware, where we discuss #DevOps, automation, and the hurdles of enabling teams building #AI and #MachineLearning:
Great conversation with @davidcthor of @architect_team We talk devops, keeping AI models performant in production and techdebt measured by estimate accuracy. youtube.com/watch?v=Nt28b1Rk…

JWTs and other public/private key powered tokens are enormously powerful for enabling distributed systems to authenticate incoming requests without increasing latency. #softwaredevelopment #microservices

Ever drawn a cloud architecture diagram on a white board and noticed that it's just a graph with nodes an edges like any other? We have too, and we've built a microservices dependency management solution that accounts for exactly that. Check it out! #DevOps #microservices
