Well taking your chances is a vital part of the game and maybe thats why they are top at the minute but I felt for the boys there. I thought they gave their all. Good intensity. Kept the ball well at times but they can be the games where the players missing make a difference.
Arconte is quality. There's a really good footballer in there. He needs to knock this rolling about on the floor like he's been shot on the head though. It's seriously embarrassing and everything i hate about football.
I might be on my own but I actually loved that performance today. The odd move we looked like prime Barca. We had moments looking like competition winners that had never seen a football before. But overall wanted it more than them and did enough to edge it. I'll take that boys 馃憦
Its funny how many Vermin fans have said that game on Saturday was their worst performance in years. They lost 84 games in the previous 5 seasons and 1 ended in relegation they were so diabolical. I thought a draw away at Millwall would be their worst though 馃槀馃槀
I genuinely think the only 2 mistakes A.N has made at Millwall is the changes against Hull play off 2nd leg and today going 3 C.B/5 at the back when he did. Such a shame when he works wonders overall.
I think its says it all about the performance from the group out there again that we're coming away from that disappointed at drawing. Under the circumstances most would have taken that result before kick off but I feel for the boys after going 2 ahead. Just ran out of steam.
I would have taken that before the game in the circumstances 馃憦 valiant battle at the very least that was missing on Saturday.
Thats got to be a first. 2 out of the only 3 players that can hold their head up after that are forwards in a piss poor defeat. Sturge kept going but Dykes and Arconte not only kept battling but actually did their jobs well. The rest have a lot to answer for though.
Couldn't ask for more. Down to bare bones against a Prem team and the lads left everything out there. Not only fought for everything but created some exciting patterns of play. And look at the response 馃憦 we'll always get behind them if they're up against it and giving everything
I still stand by what I said about certain players being able to help us keep up to the standards of last season but you can only beat what's in front of you. Credit where its due, Dykes was outstanding in his particular role today and deserved the goals 馃憦
I don't want to take anything away from the lads coz they got the job done but that was the worst opposition I've seen us up against in their retrospective divisions since Ipswich in the 2018/19 season. Considering our situation, I can't believe they couldn't cope with us.
