In 1955 an American, named John McCarthy, coined the term Artificial Intelligence. The next year at a conference at Dartmouth, an American university, he launched “Artificial Intelligence” as a new field of study.
Artificial Intelligence is already American.
Super Intelligence is a description of how intelligent something is; organic or artificial/digital.
If we were going to change the name from Artificial, seems like the better thing to do would be to describe the KIND of intelligence, NOT the level of intelligence.
What we call AI today is actually Digital intelligence. We have Organic and Digital intelligence.
I still think Artificial intelligence is the better name, and hope it sticks a year from now. “Super” is fun, but less meaningful/correct.
