When I teach on a historic biblical sex ethic in SF, I have one group of people mad at me & another applauding. When I teach on God’s vision of racial justice and name evil in systems I have the same group that was happy w me now mad at me and ones that were mad now applauding 🤦🏽♂️

On Pentecost Sunday we remember that it was the violence of a mob and the injustice of the State that preceded an outpouring of God’s Spirit upon His people. And that the whole promise was that God’s Spirit would be poured out on ALL FLESH. Do it again Lord.

Today the dream I had for Holy Spirit series we are currently in happened. Hundreds of people praying and prophesying over each other. Sermon wasn’t the main thing, neither was the music, all background to genuine ministry of the Spirit to and for each other. Do it again Lord

And I’ve seen how the same power that reveals what’s in the inner life of leaders can also be the mechanism that can heal the inner life as well. As long as leaders can take it in, confess and repent. And as long as there’s mercy on the other side.
