After almost 24 hours on constant rain in Como of course it’s cracking the flags as I head home 🙄 top place though.

The Education Secretary - just wow ! How professional. I genuinely have no words. Well I do. She obviously has no problem with fraud and false accounting. My eyebrows literally won’t go any higher. What an embarrassment.
🚨 WATCH: Education Secretary and Manchester City fan Lucy Powell: "Can I just say to all those United fans who have been gloating all week - you're still crap and you know you are"

Poor - and biased - response from Andy Burnham on Manchester City being found guilty of all charges related to serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules by an Independent Commission. He says “I can’t intervene *more* in the process,” which requires an explanation in itself. Then offers commentary on previous proceedings he felt was unfair, AND states he wouldn’t want to lose the club’s owners who have “been such a huge partner in the building of modern Manchester. Obviously, the building of Manchester City into the global force that it is.” How was that force built? And on the investment into the city itself, per a 2022 Guardian report: “Nine sites were sold to Sheikh Mansour at a fraction of their value, and well below what other plots nearby fetched. They were on leases lasting 999 years, well beyond the norm. And the fund shifted what had been public assets to companies registered in Jersey. “That walk along the water from New Islington into Ancoats now passes blocks of privatised land owned in an offshore tax haven, which yields millions upon millions for a key member of the wealthy elite running a surveillance state halfway across the globe. One of the greatest cities in the world has sold itself to a senior figure in a brutal autocracy – and not even for a good price.”

Reminder that Matt Donohue wasn’t just involved in the Maguire suspension, he lied to the FA about what he heard and then admitted that he ‘misheard’ him
Reading the entire report for this Maguire thing is hilarious. The fourth official admitted that he ‘misheard’ him saying ‘you’re a joke’ (Maguire said that he said ‘what a joke’) but that he definitely said ‘you’re all a fucking joke’ afterwards… He filed the initial report, later admitted that half of it could be wrong and then the FA still back his account of it 🤣🤣

Hahahaha well well well. Look who’s was on VAR today
FA have released reasons for Harry Maguire ban. Fourth official Matt Donahue alleges Maguire said: “You’re all a fucking joke.” Maguire’s defence: “I said something along lines of, ‘it is a fucking joke.’” Commission preferred Donahue testimony ⬇️ nytimes.com/athletic/7198137…

Imagine if all those filling pubs at 2am Monday morning for football bothered to do it more regularly when it’s not on then there wouldn’t be so many closing every week I suspect… a pub’s for life not just for world cups… support them
