i was asked recently during an interview for my thoughts on the "young people with mobility aids" discourse, and I realized I'm in a very unique position to talk about this. as the creator of Sun-Spider (and also a disabled person myself), I get a lot of fan mail, especially(1/4)
gain confidence. It's not that young people are attention seeking, or "social contagion" or whatever. these people have always been disabled. it's just that now they are finally feeling supported enough to take up the space that was always meant for them. and also adults (3/4)
who bully literal KIDS can kick rocks. get a life!! (4/4)
