I really like this. First generates the music, then creates the beat map, and then maps the entire animation and media assets to the beat. Sick!
You can check it out there. For this one I uses the shotstack skill and cli with Opus5.5 shotstack.studio/s/vvD6ZCJo
It feels like only yesterday we released a (dumb) video editing API in a pre-AI world where people had no clue why anyone would use this.
We had fantastical ideas around video being created programmatically and code being the primary way video would be produced.
Come 2026 and its insane how close we're getting to this future.

We pointed a free @n8n_io workflow at a blog page.
Claude wrote both of these Shorts, Shotstack made them, and nobody edited them. Your next post can ship with its own.

Building videos from data? Shotstack now generates the voiceover in the same request.
Just write the script. The clip matches the voiceover length, and captions come from the same audio.
ElevenLabs, MiniMax, or Polly. Up to 32 languages.

Shotstack now generates and edits images in the same request as your video.
Restyle or generate every row with one prompt, then animate it.
No downloads, no hosting. Failed image generations cost nothing, and the rest are saved.
Launch week day 2 at Shotstack. More tomorrow.

AI video generation, now inside Shotstack.
Describe the shot. Choose Seedance, Wan, or Gemini Omni Flash, and the generated clip lands inside your edit.
Switch models by changing one field in your request. More models coming soon.
No extra provider accounts or API keys.
One shotted using Shotstack Studio with the same prompt. And it's immediately editable in a video editor.
Opus 5.5 is incredible at instructional video generation.
I made this launch video for a inference startup in 1min for ~$2. Videos like these used to take weeks if not months and a lot of coordination with agencies and 1000x the costs.
Humans broadly prefer video to text. This changes the substrate of communication. These videos actually help communicate technical ideas in seconds (photorealistic video gen like Seedance is not very useful here).
- changes how often marketing should be talking about products and launches
- change how sales people can talk about technical products to their customers
- allow technical people to easily explain concepts internally without long docs
And thats just scratching the surface within startups.
Prompt: “make a modern slick and punchy video for a modern startup that works on inference”

I can’t stop thinking about this post. If you do one thing today, I encourage you to give it a thoughtful, thorough read…
And then commit to never living your life this way. Life has wasted success on the people described in this post.
It really is completely pathetic. They say that comparison is the thief of joy - look no further than this post for validation it is indeed true.
On their deathbed they will realize they have lived their life completely wrong. Don’t let it be you.
The vibes in SF feel pretty frenetic right now. The divide in outcomes is the worst I've ever seen.
Over the last 5yrs, a group of ~10k people - employees at Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, Nvidia, Meta TBD, founders - have hit retirement wealth of well above $20M (back of the envelope AI estimation).
Everyone outside that group feels like they can work their well-paying (but <$500k) job for their whole life and never get there.
Worse yet, layoffs are in full swing. Many software engineers feel like their life's skill is no longer useful. The day to day role of most jobs has changed overnight with AI.
As a result,
1. The corporate ladder looks like the wrong building to climb.
Everyone's trying to align with a new set of career "paths": should I be a founder? Is it too late to join Anthropic / OpenAI? should I get into AI? what company stock will 10x next? People are demanding higher salaries and switching jobs more and more.
2. There’s a deep malaise about work (and its future).
Why even work at all for “peanuts”? Will my job even exist in a few years? Many feel helpless. You hear the “permanent underclass” conversation a lot, esp from young people. It's hard to focus on doing good work when you think "man, if I joined Anthropic 2yrs ago, I could retire"
3. The mid to late middle managers feel paralyzed.
Many have families and don't feel like they have the energy or network to just "start a company". They don't particularly have any AI skills. They see the writing on the wall: middle management is being hollowed out in many companies.
4. The rich aren’t particularly happy either.
No one is shedding tears for them (and rightfully so). But those who have "made it" experience a profound lack of purpose too. Some have gone from <$150k to >$50M in a few years with no ramp. It flips your life plans upside down. For some, comparison is the thief of joy. For some, they escape to NYC to "live life". For others still, they start companies "just cuz", often to win status points. They never imagined that by age 30, they'd be set. I once asked a post-economic founder friend why they didn't just sell the co and they said "and do what? right now, everyone wants to talk to me. if i sell, I will only have money."
I understand that many reading this scoff at the champagne problems of the valley. Society is warped in this tech bubble. What is often well-off anywhere else in the world is bang average here.
Unlike many other places, tenure, intelligence and hard work can be loosely correlated with outcomes in the Bay. Living through a societally transformative gold rush in that environment can be paralyzing. "Am I in the right place? Should I move? Is there time still left? Am I gonna make it?" It psychologically torments many who have moved here in search of "success".
Ironically, a frequent side effect of this torment is to spin up the very products making everyone rich in hopes that you too can vibecode your path to economic enlightenment.
We saw this live during @ProfBrianCox Emergence. He got totally distracted haha what a sight!!
So condescending. We in Sydney use gpt3.5 just like the rest of the world.
People at major AI labs (using internal models) 3-4 months ahead of startup silicon valley engineers
SV founders/eng 3-6 months ahead of NY
NY founders/eng 6-12 months ahead of rest of world
Most people have no idea how fast AI shifting as 1-2 years behind SOTA
"The future is here, just not equally distributed" - Robert Heinlein
Founder equity is deferred wages. Years of cash compensation foregone on the basis of the tax rules in force when the deal was struck. Changing those rules at exit reprices the labour after the work is done. An employer doing this with cash wages is wage theft.
If the Government abolishes the “discount” on capital gains and replaces it with indexation and don’t carve out startup founders and employees they will set back the startup ecosystem in Australia by a decade or more. Founders will leave Australia in big numbers. Founder’s “cost base” isn’t capital but years and years of sacrifice and toil.
At a time when we are about to see a tsunami of job shedding by existing businesses, Australia’s best hope is a wave of startup innovation. A ~50% tax on gains by founders and team members will have disastrous consequences. We need the Government to provide immediate clarity.
Maximum of 100g of red meat per week according to Dutch @voedingscentrum 😂 that's hit Monday midway through breakfast for the average Australian.
Insane that the whole of Spotify can fit on ten commercially available hard drives.
This is so crazy. They backed up all of Spotify.
