In 2022, external conditions disrupted my first business. I executed a clean exit before burn ate our reserves—a strategic decision, not a loss.
Later that year, a major ecosystem collapsed overnight, vaporizing \$350k of my own capital. I am still pursuing legal recovery across foreign jurisdictions.
In 2023, a marketing agency with flawless credentials turned out to be fraudulent, costing another \$100k.
In 2024, when pitching Coincrib, an investor called the vision an "unbuildable wish list." Every team member walked away. I chose to build it alone.
Shortly after, I prepared to list our token on a major exchange—until my own on-chain audit proved they were insolvent. I delisted immediately.
It is 2026. Coincrib Alpha is internally finished and undergoing testing.
Coincrib is what happens when Amazon, Uber, and Airbnb meet smart-contract escrow. On-chain. Real utility.
No paid KOLs. No inflated metrics. Just code that works and lessons bought with experience.
What is the single most expensive mistake you have made while building?
Imagine digital commerce where people can trade goods, services and digital products with clearer rules and more control over the transaction.
Not another promise that technology will change everything.

A good marketplace can’t care about buyers and forget sellers — or protect sellers by ignoring buyers.
Both sides need clear expectations, fair processes and a way to handle things when reality doesn’t match the agreement.
That balance matters.
Putting something on-chain doesn’t automatically make it better.
The technology has to solve a real problem: clearer settlement, verifiable rules or more user control.
If it adds complexity without helping people, it’s not progress.
I’m building @coincrib because buying and selling online shouldn’t depend on blind trust.
The goal is an on-chain escrow marketplace for goods, services and digital products — with clearer transaction rules for both sides.
Useful first. Hype never.
Web3 doesn’t earn trust by calling itself decentralized.
It earns trust by showing users what they control, what they don’t, what the risks are and what happens when things go wrong.
Less ideology. More clarity. Better products.

If a platform can pause a transaction, freeze an account or change the rules, users should understand exactly when and why.
Control isn’t automatically bad. Hidden control is the problem.
Better commerce starts with clear rules and fewer nasty surprises.
Fees matter. So does control.
A marketplace should be clear about what it charges, when funds move and what happens if something goes wrong.
Buyers and sellers deserve rules they can understand before they commit — not surprises after the deal.

The shift is happening faster than anyone expected. Traditional stock platforms are finding it nearly impossible to compete with free, instant, AI-generated custom assets.

Escrow isn’t magic. The details matter.
What triggers payment? What happens when delivery is disputed? Who can intervene? What can the code actually guarantee?
If a project can’t answer those questions clearly, the word “escrow” isn’t enough.
P2P commerce has a trust problem.
Buyers fear paying and receiving nothing. Sellers fear shipping and never getting paid.
Better tools should reduce that risk for both sides. That’s a real problem worth building for.

@FkleinwieGross (Commercial Lead at Bitpanda Web3 and one of the most prominent faces behind the Vision ecosystem) is leaving the company at the end of October after more than five years.
In his announcement, he emphasized that there is "no big secret" behind the decision—after such a long tenure, he is ready for a new adventure. At the same time, he underlined his continued full conviction in Vision—especially with the upcoming launch of the Vision Chain—and stated that he intends to remain an active part of the community.
@VicktoriaKlich will step in immediately as the new Ecosystem Lead, taking over public responsibilities including communication, community, and parts of ecosystem marketing. Other operational duties will be distributed internally among the existing and growing team.
His departure comes at a crucial moment as Vision prepares for its next major milestone with the launch of the Vision Chain.

Gleichzeitig unterstreicht er, dass er voll von Vision überzeugt bleibe – insbesondere mit Blick auf die anstehende Vision Chain – und auch weiterhin Teil der Community sein wolle.
Die öffentlichen Aufgaben (Kommunikation, Community und Teile des Ecosystem-Marketings) übernimmt ab sofort Vicktoria Klich als neue Ecosystem Lead. Weitere Verantwortlichkeiten werden intern auf das bestehende und wachsende Team verteilt.
Der Abgang kommt zu einem Zeitpunkt, an dem Vision mit der Vision Chain vor einem wichtigen nächsten Schritt steht.

A personal update from me: after more than five years at Bitpanda, I'll be leaving at the end of October.
There's no big mystery behind the decision. Five years is a long time, I'm ready for my next adventure, and this also feels like the right moment for Vision. We've built a strong team and ecosystem, and with Vision Chain ahead of us, the project is about to enter a new chapter.
I'm also very happy to welcome @VicktoriaKlich as our new Ecosystem Lead.
Vicky will take over many of my public-facing responsibilities across Vision, including communications, community and parts of our ecosystem marketing. She's a great catch for the team and someone I'm very happy to hand these responsibilities to.
The rest of my role won't move to one person. Product, commercial strategy and other responsibilities will be distributed across the existing team as well as new roles in the growing Web3 organisation.
And because I know the question will come up: I'm not leaving because I've lost confidence in Vision. Quite the opposite. I remain fully convinced by what we're building and I'm particularly excited about what's ahead with Vision Chain.
I'll be around for the rest of October, working closely with Vicky and the team on the handover.
After that, I'm going to take some time off, travel, properly disconnect and then figure out what the next adventure looks like.
I'll also remain part of the Bitpanda and Vision community. For once, I'll just get to watch what's being built from the other side.
The recent incident involving @_Qubic_ is a reminder that we are all in this together.
Gloating gets us nowhere. In Web3, we are all fighting for the exact same goals: decentralization, innovation, and self sovereignty.
It also shows a broader industry truth: expensive audits with fancy logos don't prevent every exploit often, dedicated internal research teams catch what audits miss. Yet, many rely on audit badges instead of doing their own thorough DYOR.
Growth means making mistakes, learning from them, and coming back stronger.
