meet bubu 🐶 a real white french bulldog, mascot of bubukits and the reason for 50% for dog shelters.

question for mac users 😄
which small job do you still do in a browser tool? pdf, image resize, renaming files, restarting apps...
i read every answer. solo developer here 🐶
i didn't want an app updater that guesses.
bubu update shows the source next to each app (sparkle, homebrew, app store, github) and says so when it can't verify an update 🐶
$4.99 once, no subscription

app frozen? try the free way first 😄
cmd + Q. if it stays stuck: option + cmd + esc, pick the app, force quit.
wrote the steps down, plus when a menu bar restart button is worth it and when it isn't 🐶

same image on instagram, linkedin and x? three sizes, three crops 🙃
bubu resize has presets for instagram, facebook, linkedin, youtube, x, pinterest and tiktok. pick one, adjust the crop, export. jpeg, png or heic, nothing uploaded.

Built a little thing this weekend 👀
Meonpixs — create an event, share a QR code, and let everyone upload their photos.
No app. No accounts. Just scan & upload. 📸
Let’s see where this goes.

I got tired of checking Mac apps one by one, so I built Bubu Update 🐶
It scans your apps, checks trusted sources like Sparkle, Homebrew and the Mac App Store, and shows available updates in one clean place.
No account. No subscription. $4.99 lifetime.

heyoo devs on @X , what product are you most proud of building so far?
I’ll go first 😊
for me it’s actually 2 from the BubuKits family:

1st customer for Bubu Rescue!! 😭🔥
built it last night, shipped it this morning.
7th Mac app in BubuKits, but the first one anyone actually paid for.
$2.59 earned, and of course 50% goes to a dog shelter 🐶❤️
small win, huge motivation 💪
keep building. never give up.
right now, the money will go to this shelter:

I just posted Bubu Rescue on r/MacApps and every upvote genuinely helps us get seen there.
If you’ve been following BubuKits, please 🤍 give it a quick upvote here:

And as a thank you, BUBUTEST100 is open again for the next 10 people who want to try the full BubuKits bundle for free 🤝
hi @x, i built Bubu Rescue.
pick the frozen app from the menu bar, restart only that one, keep everything else open.
that’s it.

Europe might finally have a serious AI contender.
Multiverse Computing just launched Quasar 438B.
→ #1 European model on Artificial Analysis
→ 43 Intelligence Index
→ Mistral Medium 3.5: 30
→ 500-token response in 15.3s
→ strong results in long-context reasoning + agentic coding
The US and China still dominate the AI race.
But Europe is starting to look a lot more interesting.
Would you actually try a European model instead of Claude / GPT / Gemini?

Need a pricing sanity check 😄
Would you pay these prices for small native Mac apps, one-time, no subscription?
• Bubu Update, $1.99, finds outdated Mac apps
• Bubu PDF, $4.99, edit/compress/convert PDFs
• Bubu Sort, $4.99, automatically sorts files
• Bubu Present, $5.99, phone as a presentation remote
• Bubu Rename, $7.99, batch rename files
• Bubu Resize, $9.99, resize/crop/convert images
Or $24.99 for All Kits, every current + future Bubu app, lifetime.
Curious what you think:
A) Too expensive
B) Pretty fair
C) Actually cheap
D) I wouldn’t pay for small Mac utilities anyway 😄
