Grateful to make this year's @Forbes 30 under 30 list.
We started Kibu in a tiny gym with 5 people and a dodgeball. Today it’s helping disability providers across the country deliver better care.
The recognition belongs to the Kibu team, disability providers who believed in us early, and the 1000s of individuals we serve every day.
Still Day 1.

Someone AI'd me.
I was at a conference giving a presentation (left) and saw on LinkedIn the photo posted of me on the right.
Looks similar but definitely not my face and not my shoes and different color tie.
Must not have looked good from the original angle lol.
Clearly a skill issue I have to figure out.
I have 4x as many followers on LinkedIn than I do here.
But i prefer X to LI by 4x.
Step 1 is to post more. GL me.
This is what a day at your day hab could look like with Kibu: six members and one DSP, with a whole day of programming planned in about ten minutes. Because everyone's goals already live in their Kibu profile, the day runs on what each member is working toward. Whether that’s a personal growth activity, a community grocery run. DSPs capture notes with Quick Notes, in the moment, so the service note is mostly written before the shift ends.

1. LinkedIn’s who checked my profile feature.
2. A rekindled prospect who responds with “I was meaning to reach back out to you!”
3. Customers who link their bank account in a Stripe subscription instead of credit card.
4. An oversized hoodie/sweatpants combo.
5. Finding what you were looking for in the first grocery store aisle you check.

USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
