Steve Sarkisian really blew off Holly Rowe. Bo French really expressed annoyance at brown-skinned men in the stands. Arch Manning really called the fake clip “hilarious.” And reporters really laughed.
What a weird couple of days in Texas.

PR people get a lot of hate, and the bad ones are certainly frustrating to deal with sometimes, but great PR people are truly a godsend. They are brilliant and helpful and play such a valuable role in the media ecosystem these days as it becomes more and more of a nightmare to navigate. So shout out to the great PR people out there and I’m sorry for the times I’ve ever besmirched the profession!!

This trend of sports advertising involving women being uneducated/uninterested when it comes to sports and men having to show them the ropes (the whole "girl math/terms" stuff, too) is both very insulting and very concerningly misogynistic.

Do people at Texas Tech think the rest of America is stupid? I’m honestly at a loss to find an explanation for a PR strategy this bad. Holy moly.

Texas Tech has a choice. No one is forcing the Red Raiders to play Brendan Sorsby. They are not backed into a corner. They can take his recovery seriously and support him by keeping him around/engaged with the program but NOT play him in games.
It shouldn't be a tough call.

The Sorsby ruling is truly disastrous. It will be appealed, of course, because one of the fundamental parts of watching a sporting event is believing that it’s as fair a competition as possible — and that no one directly involved has money riding on specific outcomes.

For the first time yesterday, I experienced the new @alamodrafthouse QR code ordering system and I can tell you it’s truly awful. Rather than making ordering food and drink more efficient, it actually adds steps to the process AND if you want to order additional items during the film you HAVE to open your phone. No, your cute reference to that irony in your How To Alamo video doesn’t negate how ridiculous this is. Please don’t cut corners with your staff and revert back to physical menus and order cards.

In about two hours, Dave Aranda will be 36-37 in six seasons at Baylor, including the 12-2 from 2021. Take that out, and he’s 24-35. This is not acceptable, and accepting it means embracing the irrelevance of Baylor football. Our fans, boosters, and players deserve better, @LindaLlivings.
