I attended this service. There was zero meaningful coproduction in its change from lifetime membership/drop in to ‘therapeutic community’ with seemingly some SCM principles thrown in
Professionals rewriting the narrative again! Are conferences the new clinic letters?

And believe me we tried! Went to the community meetings, tried to have input into the new service.
It had already been decided and we were there to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titantic
That’s not coproduction

Yep, I’ve had this too. “How’s your mental state?” “Oh, I’m 40, overweight and Caucasian.”
Psychiatrists reminding us here that comparison is the thief of joy
Just in this case, *our* joy

I don’t know who needs to hear this but apparently it still needs to be said, so:
You👏 can👏 smile👏 and👏still👏 be👏 depressed👏
Psychiatrists who haven’t grasped this, perhaps it’s time to take some responsibility and go back to med school

What are the assumptions underlying the statement that a patient is "smartly dressed and well-kempt"? What's the evidence these assumptions are correct? What's an acceptable way for a patient to look in order to get good, timely, effective #mentalhealth care, treatment & support?

A break from our usual satire to talk about an important crisis in NHS mental health services... If you do one thing this bank holiday please educate yourself about #StopSIM and then sign the petition to immediately halt its roll out until a proper evidence base is established
A lot of you have been asking what you can do to help our #StopSIM campaign. We've now started a petition so that you can express your support. Please sign and share far and wide! #HighIntensityNetwork #Petition #MentalHealth #mentalillness

@dear_gp is a hilariously (and heartbreakingly) accurate reflection of #NHS mental health services. V refreshing. Strongly recommended reading to anyone who has been through #CAMHS or #CMHTs, or who works in #MentalHealth. The latest issue is here: deargphome.files.wordpress.c… #DearGP
