Don’t forget to join us tonight
Aberdeen — we need you.
We’re digging into how Aberdeen City Council runs its Private Hire Driver License issuing process, but we’re based in Glasgow so we can’t get to the committee hearings ourselves.
We need someone local who can sit in the room, take notes and tell us what is actually going on.
We’ll guide you on exactly what to look for and the key facts that matter.
In Glasgow we’ve already seen how broken and inefficient the current system is.
We’re only scratching the surface — but we can’t change any of this until we have all the information from across Scotland.
Information is power.
If you’re in the Aberdeen area and want to help hold the system to account, get in touch.
Wonder if either of them will reply? They certainly don’t respond to us asking for change in Scotland
Public question to @larabirdsnp and Kate Nevens:
You were held for around eight hours by Israeli authorities and then turned away at the Allenby Bridge while trying to enter the West Bank as part of a Progressive International delegation.
Your stated aim was solidarity with olive harvesters and events in Ramallah.
Meanwhile, back in Scotland:
Drug deaths hit 1,133 in 2025 an 11% rise, still the highest rate in Europe by a wide margin, with cocaine and nitazenes driving the toll.
This is after more than a decade of SNP government.
Homeless deaths rose 38% to 232 in 2025.
The Scottish Government declared a housing emergency, yet the numbers keep climbing.
Child poverty and food insecurity remain entrenched, with large numbers of Scottish families relying on food banks and cutting back on meals.
You are elected to represent people in Scotland and at Westminster.
Is flying out on a foreign solidarity trip, then complaining about being stopped, the best use of your time right now?
These are the people some of you trust to run Scotland?
Absolute Must Watch
⬇️⬇️⬇️
This is the most eye opening testimony you will watch to understand how Westminster actually works.

I see @TheEconomist, Editor @zannymb Minton Beddoes fiddled the graph showing overwhelmingly that Muslim migrants are vastly overrepresented in sexual assaults.
They did it logarithmically instead of linear, making the disparity less.
Ever wonder why we don't trust you?

🚨🇬🇧 THERE YOU HAVE IT. THE FIGURES ARE NOW IN BLACK AND WHITE.
The Economist has published an analysis of sexual-offence conviction rates by nationality in England and Wales, using Ministry of Justice data obtained through Freedom of Information requests.
And the findings raise serious questions.
📊 SEXUAL-OFFENCE CONVICTION RATES — 2020–2022
Compared with British nationals, after adjusting for age and sex:
🇦🇫 Afghanistan: 7 TIMES HIGHER
🌍 Middle East & North Africa: ~3.5 TIMES HIGHER
🌍 Sub-Saharan Africa: ~2.5 TIMES HIGHER
🌍 Other Europe: ~1.7 TIMES HIGHER
🌏 South Asia: ~1.4 TIMES HIGHER
🌎 Americas & Caribbean: ~1.1 times
🇬🇧 British nationals: 1× (baseline)
🇪🇺 European Union: ~0.8 times
🌏 East Asia & Oceania: ~0.6 times
The regional figures are approximate readings from The Economist's chart.
💷 NOW LOOK AT THE UNDERLYING DATA.
The Ministry of Justice records examined cover 2010–2024:
▪️ Approximately 8 MILLION recorded cautions and convictions across offence categories.
▪️ Approximately 106,000 sexual-offence records.
▪️ 409 attributed to Afghan nationals — 0.39% of the sexual-offence records over those 15 years.
▪️ Around 80% attributed to British nationals.
▪️ The Economist estimates the Afghan-national population increased from approximately 21,400 in the 2021 Census to 45,000 by the end of 2022.
Despite accounting for population changes and adjusting for age and sex, its estimated Afghan-national sexual-offence conviction rate remained approximately SEVEN TIMES the British rate in 2020–2022.
⚠️ These are recorded conviction-rate estimates, NOT the rate at which every crime occurs. The exact multipliers remain uncertain, and nationality does not establish immigration status.
But that doesn't make the disparities disappear.
❓ SO HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GOVERNMENT:
1️⃣ Why aren't comprehensive nationality and immigration-status conviction statistics routinely published?
2️⃣ How many convicted foreign nationals are deported after completing their sentences?
3️⃣ How many remain in Britain following conviction?
4️⃣ What preventative action is being taken in response to identified risks?
5️⃣ Why should the public have to rely on FOI requests and journalists to examine these figures?
This is about evidence, public safety, victims and government accountability. Not blaming entire communities for the offences of individuals.
The British public deserves complete, transparent statistics and policies informed by evidence.

If only we could get these stats for Scotland!
However as we only record ethnicity in around 50% of cases, national comparisons are not available.
In September 2026 it was reported to us by a women campaigning for better reporting standards to be implemented asap the Area Commander for Glasgow East advised there was no benefit to the public in specifying the ethnicity of offenders.
It is our hope that on November 5th 2026 when our petition is read in Parliament that this will be reviewed and addressed.
🚨BREAKING: New Data reveals that migrants from most of the world are committing sex crimes at a FAR HIGHER rate than British nationals
[@TheEconomist ]
So in short, some idiot in the government sent an email to the wrong people and as a result of this screw up, the government engaged in a secret operation to relocate 18500 people plus their families to the UK and hid it from the public.
The MoD are claiming the cost of this was around £800m to date, however subsequent investigations has calculated a lifetime cost of this at around £6b (YES BILLION)
We don’t get to know who signed this agreement or pushed it through and we are just supposed to say, oh well mistakes happen??
Not being funny but I’m guessing this has to be the most expensive email ever sent.
ABSOLUTE CLOWN SHOW.
These people are in charge of our money.
Frightening!!!
🚨🇬🇧 WESTMINSTER CLUEDO: WHO SIGNED THE AFGHAN DEAL? 🔎
🎭 Jenrick. Sunak. Shapps. Braverman. Heappey.
Five familiar faces. A secret government scheme. And some very serious questions.
📂 18,500+ Afghan applications affected by a MOD data breach.
🔒 A superinjunction kept the scandal secret.
🏛️ Cabinet approved a secret relocation scheme in December 2023.
✈️ The scheme was expanded in March 2024.
⚠️ Earlier changes to routine specialist Afghan resettlement security checks were authorised at ministerial level.
BUT WHO ACTUALLY SIGNED OFF WHAT?
Who approved the screening changes? Who knew about the secret scheme? Who authorised its expansion?
The government insists security checks remained in place. Then publish the approval trail and demonstrate that the required checks were completed.
🕵️♂️ We're playing Westminster Cluedo — except this isn't a board game. It's taxpayers' money, national security and government accountability.
WE KNOW THE DECISIONS. NOW SHOW US THE SIGNATURES.

How are we supposed to just ignore figures like this?
The Economist estimates that Afghan nationals had a sexual-offence conviction rate around 7 times higher than British nationals in England and Wales between 2020 and 2022, even after taking age and sex into account.
Surely we’re allowed to ask questions about this?
Why aren’t these figures being published openly and regularly? And what is actually being done about it?
This isn’t about blaming everyone. It’s about being able to talk openly about what the figures are showing and putting the safety of women and girls first.
We deserve answers, not silence. 🩷🇬🇧

Fantastic news. Something positive at last
This is great news for victims and survivors across England and Wales.
It is so important that the voices of those with lived experience are heard and included in shaping policy and changing laws.
I’ve worked with Claire Waxman for many years, particularly in my fight for the rights of children born of rape, and she has been fantastic. @VictimsComm

Why is this even a conversation??? What’s next removing the medals the individuals received or their families have been given to mark their sacrifice. Someone please explain to me what the purpose of this is. This is part of our history. We owe these brave men everything. It’s a disgrace 🤬🤬

How long would these “far left” groups funding last if a “far right” party took Holyrood?
Is the penny dropping that these groups rely on the gravy train and politics becomes secondary?
Their survival requires you and I to put up with two decades of ideological idiots controlling Holyrood.
Reclaim the night are coming to Edinburgh on Monday at 1700.
This is how the system works.
The SG funds flow through the groups and they will shout until the SG takes action.
Result..£30 million more heading their way.
Let's look at who got what of your money to call you a far right nazi.
