Part of what makes ADHD so humiliating isn’t just living with the disorder itself but how people, even other disabled people, react particular sypmtoms. It makes you feel like a fool and the shame makes you feel less deserving of understanding/ accomidation.

The “time blindness” thing is funny to me as someone who’s severely disabled by mental health conditions bc if a symptom that was having a negative impact on my life had a cure as simple as “set alarms and leave earlier” I would be sooo grateful and I’d just do that and stfu.

Unlike the vast majority of these people who insist that ADHD renders you completely helpless, I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 14, by a diagnostician, after a full day of neuropsych testing. I have 2 degrees, work full time, care for a 3 year old, a dog and a house by myself. I don’t miss work or doctors appointments and am rarely late. You are making this up because you don’t want to do anything to help yourself. Stop being a victim and making those of us who actually have ADHD look insane.
