The New York Post now quite rightly ripping into the woke nuttery on display in the Irish Government’s latest attack ad against the family. This time warning about Irish Granny hugs and kisses. The people that make and endorse this shite are the degenerates.

*Important, Let me explain the public money trail behind the viral advert about grandparents hugging their grandchildren. Four Organisations keep appearing: 1. CUAN, 2. Community Foundation Ireland, 3. Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, and 4. We-Consent. 1. Cuan is the State agency. Established in January 2024 to fund and coordinate domestic and sexual violence services, set standards, and run awareness campaigns. It sits inside the Dept. of Justice Its funding has risen from €58.6 million in 2024 to €84.4 million allocation for 2027 (+44% increase in three years!) At end of 2024 it had 28 employees. That year it spent roughly €3 million on staff, administration and board costs + another €4.2 million on awareness campaigns. In 2025 it allocated €58.36 million to 78 organisations (see pic below). 2. Community Foundation Ireland Denise Charlton is CEO of Community Foundation. She also sits on CUAN's statutory board, and is a named member of We-Consent’s advisory group. Community Foundation Ireland helped fund the original We-Consent campaign (launched 2023 by DRCC, with Dept of Justice support). Other CUAN board members also lead or sit on organisations that receive Cuan grants (including Women’s Aid and Galway Rape Crisis Centre and others). These links are publicly disclosed. They are not evidence of wrongdoing. Everything here is above board. But they do raise ordinary public-interest questions about conflict declarations, recusals, and how core grants are renewed versus the smaller open funding call (€3.2m in 2025). 3. We-Consent We-Consent is a DRCC project, not a separate State body. The precise cost, production details, and evaluation of this particular grandparents advert are not publicly broken out. 4. ***IMPORTANT** Dublin Rape Crisis Centre does important work. Supporting survivors and teaching boundaries are not in dispute. But my question here is: What measurable improvement has this new agency structure, CUAN, delivered per euro spent, and where is the independent comparison with the previous system? *The graphic below shows how €58.3million was distributed in 2025. CUAN's total budget allocation for 2027 is €85million.

Coming from a French, Irish, Italian family where affection, hugs, laughter even arguments are the norm. We will always continue to cook, love, hug, play games & listen to our wonderful Grandchildren. This indoctrination is damaging to the very fabric of families

It’s a fair point the extremely intelligent and hired purely on merit and skill ‘Senator’ makes. If only we could get 50 years projected on various models carbon percentage to drop from 0.015% to 0.014%, they wouldn’t need to loot Louis Vuitton handbags or Moet Champagne. Also, those hard working immigrant shop owners wouldn’t have had to see their small family owned and operated shops robbed and burned. The Limoges town hall would not be a pile of ashes. Noting like the risk of AI replacing your future job (yeah right) to make you want to drop kick a police woman trying to escape an immediate threat to life.
Omg this fool says the protests are 'young people worried abput climate & AI jobs'...how can you air such trash @TonightVMTV the whole world knows the real truth!!!

Correct, this is part of the relentless attack on the family. They don't even pretend to hide it now. #Ireland #Europe #Politics #Family

I find this advertisement very unsettling. I’m not conservative but this is way beyond the pale.

Who the hell wakes up in the morning and thinks ‘Let’s launch a nationally televised campaign telling grandparents they need to think twice before hugging their grandchildren’? Why do they give themselves a name like ‘Community Foundation Ireland’? WHY ARE WE ALL PAYING FOR IT??

The irony Declan is I imagine the vast majority of people who see this just think those that made this nonsense and are promoting it are the weirdos! Strange target going after grandparents showing affection to their grandkids?!

CUAN's vision is for "a society free from domestic, sexual and gender-based violence." Therefore, they must consider that grandparents hugging their grandchildren fall into one or more of these categories. This is sick. Whoever created and approved this should be named.

It's the never ending Irish political cartel's drip-drip of anti traditional-family dog whistles. Don't share their hugs, don't share their even stranger ideas. The cynicism, the poison dressed up as 'safety and respect' continues. They use taxpayers money to pay for these messages and run them in media outlets they also force taxpayers to pay to keep in operation. Most kids went through the awkward stage of not wanting granny kisses, which this ad goes to some effort to ridicule. One of the lessons of childhood is learning how irreplaceably precious those wholesome family embraces are and the fact that family comes first, respect of your elders is important and respect for parents and grandparents is essential. This ad comes from the same mindset that gave an Irish school text book 'family A' and 'family B'. Granny and Granddad in the new video are family A coded, check out Granny's probably religious medal outside her sweater. Look at grandad's tweed type jacket and trad flat cap, he probably smells of farm too. Then look at cool kid, family B coded, turning her nose up at these weirdoes, multi-racial, nose and eye piercings, not having any of this odd family affection stuff. As old as time is the commandment "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you."

Today is the anniversary of The Battle of Trafalgar, 1805. Somewhere between 3500 and 4000 Irishmen took part in the battle serving on the ships of the Royal Navy. 94 Irishmen were on the crew of Nelson's flagship, HMS Victory. Overall, the Irish made up about a quarter of the Navy's crew strength in that pivotal battle. ☘️

They put up the name and the place he was from (which is good) but still couldn't go the whole way and use the prefix of 'St.' I mean, what are they afraid of? Who would it offend? Europe shouldn't run away from the treasure of its Christian heritage, the firm foundation upon which Europe is built. #StBenedict, Patron Saint of Europe, Ora Pro Nobis.
Ora et labora - moli i radi! Geslo svetog Benedikta i danas je snažna poruka Europi kojoj je potrebna duhovna i moralna obnova.

Forgive me if I find it difficult to subscribe to the idea that Ireland fought for independence so that the British Government could hold a veto over the deployment of any more that 12 Irish troops overseas. Of course the same applies to the veto held by Vladimir Putin, The Communist Party of China, the President of France and the President of the United States (all permanent members of the UN Security Council) but the idea that this is the only way to stop an Irish government joining a foreign war, is a tad flawed. If you have a problem with your current government, change it. Dissipating and outsourcing sovereignty is a long standing challenge and debate in every field. Doing it in defence/use of the military, the most core discipline and responsibility of a sovereign country, is a pivotal dilution of sovereignty. It's that fundamental.
This is a point I have made for years. Given both Putin’s Kremlin and Communist China, a veto on the deployment of Irish troops, is not ‘sovereignty’, it’s flat wrong. The Taoiseach is spot on here.
