I got hit by some rather sudden and extreme financial hardship so if anyone is in need of remote wetlab contract research, strictly BSL1, do let me know. Currently scrambling for gigs.

1/ H3K27me3 mimicry has repeatedly emerged through evolution, but what's the physiological relevance?
We show that JARID2 and PALI1 mimic H3K27me3 to antagonise PRC2 in vivo and restrict the spread of Polycomb domains.

When my wife and I were going through IVF last year we had a simple question — “We’re 35. To bank embryos for two more kids, how many cycles should we plan for?”
I couldn’t find any good tools to navigate the data (PGT-M would make it even harder) so I made one.

It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS, indeterminate dendritic cell histiocytosis or other (non-LCH) histiocytic sarcomas cases.
I'm trying to understand non-surgical chemo and targeted therapy options, new pathology markers to better diagnose subtypes/treatments, and any data on progression in pediatric patients. Please feel free to share – I’m trying to cast a wide net due to the rarity of this condition and how little is known.
People can contact me directly at my first name (as written in my profile) at octant.bio.

🧵 1/ We’re excited to share that our new paper with @adrianbracken lab is out 🎉 In this study (which began 10 years ago!) we explore the biology of PRC2 and PRC1 in non-dividing cells. We also explore the effects of PRC2 inhibitor drugs on these cells. Here’s what we found👇

In addition to applied statistics, I have another repository on Data visualization: "quick data vis" (github.com/cxli233/Quick_dat…). It used to be under "Online_R_learning" but now has its own repository on GitHub. I have used this content to teach 1st year grad students for 3 years.
Huh, my Online R learning GitHub repo hit 500 stars!

It's an absolute scandal and tragedy that India is forced to spend $250m/year to provide access to the latest science to its people. A complete and total failure of global science leadership and of science writ large.

Gene regulation involves thousands of proteins that bind DNA, yet comprehensively mapping these is challenging. Our paper in @NatureGenet describes ChIP-DIP, a method for genome-wide mapping of hundreds of DNA-protein interactions in a single experiment.

Canada Post is the only carrier in rural areas because the private ones have done the math and it is not profitable to deliver your mail in buttfuck nowhere.
The market provides only if it is profitable. That's why government monopolies need to exist for some things like mail.
