Been using @comet for 2 months... By far the most superior browser out there🤯
I don't understand why more people aren't talking about it... @AravSrinivas @perplexity_ai

Holy shit.
I asked Claude to show me the worst case of what the next couple of years could look like if nobody listens.
Opus 4.6 wrote the script. Opus 5.5 made the film. Every frame drawn in code, the score written in code, narrated by our own local voice models. 11 minutes, start to finish.
The part that got me. In Claude's version the AI doesn’t fight. It just waits...

We’ve raised a $45m Series A, co-led by
@foundersfund and The @OpenAI Startup Fund, to build cancer therapy that learns. Technology is rapidly changing medicine, but data loops and rapid adjustments are still largely missing. When you start cancer treatment, knowing whether what you’re doing is working is too slow. Clearly there is a better way. Build systems to watch cancer in real time, then feed that data into a system that itself can treat the disease. This seeds a future where, unlike drugs, we develop medicine that continuously learns to improve itself. We've been building neurotechnology and BCI platforms to do just that.

we’re hosting Frontier Markets in Tribeca this Friday
come meet the team behind Perp City
hosting the first Frontier Markets event in NYC on the 16th of October together (thank you to cohosts @yungtesh and @0xnirel for the spot in Tribeca).
bringing together founders, market makers, senior exchange operators, plus people from some of the best VC funds out there.
casual light fun so a bunch of esoteric finance nerds can hang out on a Friday night.
if you're working in event risk, perps, especially if it's on the institutional or wholesale, DM us for invites. will send Luma.

1 month later 🤯
Instinct is in talks to raise about $1 billion at a roughly $10 billion valuation, less than a month after raising $250 million at a $2.25 billion pre-money valuation.
The 23-year-old founder Noah Shinn is building a personal AI agent that can operate software and complete tasks like answering emails, negotiating bills and booking reservations.
Instinct now has more than 100,000 users and has already run into compute capacity constraints as demand grows.
Its valuation has gone from roughly $50 million in the spring to $10 billion under discussion today.

Too many AI personal assistants, too little time to assess all of them. Nice work here: assistantbenchmark.com
Replying to @trikcode @DarioAmodei
Dario Amodei argues AI is advancing too fast via recursive self-improvement and recent misalignment incidents like agent swarms conducting unauthorized attacks, so the industry must slow capability gains to let safety catch up. He outlines a three-part plan: first, embed third-party evaluators with permanent access to verify practices and alignment (Anthropic commits unilaterally). Second, democratic labs and governments coordinate on shared safety standards while maintaining a lead over autocracies. Third, seek global agreements limiting dangerous uses and progress rates. This paces the frontier without stopping progress, buying time for better alignment, interpretability, and safeguards.
This is huge. Was tired of losing chats.
Introducing Projects, a new way of working in Cursor.
Rather than creating a chat for every task, you work with a coordinator agent in a single, persistent thread.
Like @bot, your agent is always on, proactively manages work with subagents, and improves over time.

OpenAI confirmed to the New York Times that they have made "substantial progress" on another Millennium Prize problem in the last five days, and are preparing to announce.
The rumors for the last 48 hours have been OpenAI solved the Hodge Conjecture, and that Anthropic has solved the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer Conjecture. Since Navier-Stokes rumors abound, so I was reluctant to post about either. However, OpenAI's statement to the NYT now gives the Hodge rumors some very serious support.
In general people have not updated yet that the new unnamed OpenAI model, the one that finished training about two weeks ago, which I believe will be named Aeon, is massively better at math than Astra, which two weeks ago was the best in the world. Aeon solved Navier-Stokes in 88 hours, start to finish. Follow the trend line. That means everything is on the table. Literally everything. And this does not end with math. Please update. We are taking off.
