After a lengthy phone conversation with Dayo Israel, APC Youth Leader, we discussed the vehicle-gifting controversy and the public anger it generated. He explained that the vehicles were donated by private organizations in support of the re-election campaign, not purchased with taxpayers’ money. He apologized and acknowledged that the approach could have been better. I urged him to learn from this experience and ensure it doesn’t happen again.
