"Meet Judge D’Anthony Thedford. D'Anthony "Tony" Thedford is a Circuit Judge in Cook County, Illinois, appointed to fill a vacancy in December 2024 and serving through December 7, 2026. He previously worked as a public defender and attorney in solo and small-firm practice, specializing in criminal defense and civil rights. When prosecutors ask a judge to detain someone during their first appearance on a new felony charge at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse in Chicago, the judge will side with prosecutors nearly 7 out of 10 times. That is, unless prosecutors are asking Judge D’Anthony Thedford. Thedford, who began hearing pretrial cases at 26th Street on February 5, sides with defendants more than half the time. And in recent weeks, he has sided with defendants nearly six out of 10 times, court records show. Anyway. Pic 2 is the defendant that was drinking and driving and hit and killed a citizen so badly she had to be extracted from the car. RIP to 25-year-old Sarah Milcarek a graduate of Mizzou Law School. She was hit so violently she flew through the back window of the vehicle. Just to show remorse the defendant fled the scene and was chased down by 2 good Samaritans only to escape them and be found in a park 4 hours later with a BaC of .088 Judge Thedford released this pos back into the community with a severe lecture to not “drink excessively” and an ankle monitor. Had enough yet? We keep getting killed by these judges decisions and they have immunity so you can’t sue them for negligence, incompetence, or wrongful death. Jail the damn judges!!!
