Who cares? If you’re reading this, everything is just a Lila and we’re all playing our parts. I just don’t take my roles that seriously.

Proud to be part of this lineage. My parameshti guru in Advaita Vedanta. Swami Chinmayananda was a lion among teachers. A powerful orator and an embodiment of wisdom. IMHO, no one stands above him as an expounder of Vedanta.

youtu.be/i34IuGJUj30 To me, one of the clearest pointing out instructions. Cliffnotes version below: You are the sky, not the traffic: • Thoughts are just noise; awareness is the open space. • Look back at the one who is looking; notice the gap. • Stop striving. Rest in the luminous presence that is already here.

the Delson Armstrong interview with Steve is interesting. Guy had an NDE and became a Nature of Mind yogi, dissatisfied with spiritual materialism Full of love of life and gratitude. Also really nice that they recorded in person, you can tell they have a good connection

blood and effort was poured over centuries for the teaching to make it to the modern day no lineage is ... rather crazy
No lineage, just people who learned a skill and want you to have it too.

Nothing more American than meditating for a bit, seeing something on the mat, then thinking to oneself: “I can make a business out of this.”

Saying you have "no lineage" and are "just people who learned some cool things and wanted to share" is far more dangerous than people realize. It is the equivalent of saying: "I took 100 hours of flight lessons, loved it, and now I'm going to take passengers up and teach them how to fly." In traditional approaches, guiding people through profound meditative states requires rigorous practice, ethical grounding, and explicit authorization from a lineage master. Even after Bhante Vimalaramsi authorized me to guide others a year after my first retreat, I continued to practice and train under supervision for years before stepping into teaching in earnest. Lineage authorization isn't a license to launch a startup; it is a heavy responsibility that demands patience, humility, and deep respect for the student's safety. Setting up a commercial retreat platform after only a few months of practice without a grounded lineage, teacher oversight, or a foundation in Sīla (ethics) and Paññā (wisdom) is reckless. A meditation practice divorced from ethical lineage isn't a shortcut to depth. It’s an unregulated experiment on earnest students. It’s not about chasing states. It’s about liberation. Don’t look for a jhana retreat. Look for a liberation retreat.
No lineage, just people who learned a skill and want you to have it too.

“You can sit in samādhi for ten thousand years, but if you still owe someone an honest conversation, the heart will remain half-closed.” This is a line from my magnum opus. The only thing that counts is how your mind is in your last moments. Is it confused or is it clear?
