The behaviour of 4 MPs, Lucas in the House of Lords and one deputy leader during the by-election and since has been sabotage pure and simple. @ZackPolanski wants to give them a chance to accept their mistakes. So do I. But if they won't they can't be allowed to destroy the left.
It's obvious @ZackPolanski doesn't want @TheGreenParty to split. Nor do I. But I think up to 4 MPs are intent on splitting. Before joining Andy Burnham's cabinet they'll try to wreck their party on the way out. Can this be stopped? In theory it can. #UniteTheLeft #BackZack

These four equations describe the structure of physical reality from quantum scales to spacetime.
Schrödinger’s equation iℏ ∂Ψ/∂t = ĤΨ governs how quantum wavefunctions evolve and produce the probability densities that define atoms and molecules.
Maxwell’s equations show that electric and magnetic fields are interdependent, generating light and electromagnetic forces from a single framework.
Einstein’s field equations Rμν − ½ R gμν + Λ gμν = 8πG/c⁴ Tμν establish that mass-energy curves spacetime, while the Dirac equation (iγμ ∂μ − m)ψ = 0 unites quantum mechanics with relativity and accounts for spin-½ fermions.
The deepest regularities of nature are expressed in these relations.

A function’s slope tells only part of the story. To understand how its surface bends, mathematicians use the Hessian matrix, which collects all second partial derivatives.
For f(x,y), H = \[\[fxx, fxy\], \[fyx, fyy\]\]. Introduced in the work of German mathematician Ludwig Otto Hesse in the 19th century, it helps identify local maxima, minima and saddle points. The gradient tells you how a function rises; the Hessian reveals how its landscape curves.

A curve wound around a doughnut becomes a knot exactly when its two winding numbers share no common factor.
On the torus, the closed curve T(p, q) is a single knotted component if and only if gcd(p, q) = 1. When the greatest common divisor is greater than 1, the same winding splits into that many separate linked circles. T(2, 3) is the trefoil; T(2, 1) collapses to the unknot; T(2, 2) is two interlocked rings.
The same construction lifts to three dimensions: three independent circles multiply to the 3-torus T³ = S¹ × S¹ × S¹, a compact flat space that remains observationally allowed as a possible shape of the cosmos.
Global topology can hide simple local geometry inside nontrivial knots and finite loops.

Maxwell–Boltzmann distribution.
The air around you is full of tiny molecules, and at room temperature most of them move faster than the speed of sound.
They do not all move at the same speed. A few are slow, most cluster around a typical speed, and a rare few are extremely fast.
In 1860, James Clerk Maxwell worked out how these speeds are distributed. Ludwig Boltzmann later extended the idea.
Here 1,200 beads play the molecules. The faster a bead flies out, the farther it lands, so each slot collects beads of similar speed. Together, the piles trace the Maxwell–Boltzmann curve.

Tommy Robinson’s ex-wife, Jenna Lennon, is scheduled to be sentenced on 26 November after pleading guilty to charges of concealing company financial records.
There is a shortfall of more than £1 million in her company, Hope & Pride Ltd, and she also owes HMRC £319,000 in unpaid corporation tax.
Tommy Robinson himself is due to be sentenced on 16 December.
Depending on their sentences, their children could potentially be without either parent this Christmas.
