AI agents are getting pretty good at writing code. That doesn't mean they need the keys to the entire network. We've joined Agent Baseline, with @docker, @keycardai, @snyksec, @socketsecurity , @Tessl_io and @tracebit_com on the Secure Software Factory buff.ly/xRQLAHR

Software development is getting easier, to feel more challenged I'm tryin to learn hardware. in the process I've built an ESP32 learning lab with 3d animations, code explanations and challenges. Looking forward to add more labs. built with opus 5.5 Preview: esp-labs-web.vercel.app Github: github.com/agharsallah/esp-l…

Scientists have found that trees may help detect volcanic eruptions before they happen. Around 10% of the world’s population lives near active volcanoes. Predicting eruptions has always been difficult. Traditionally, scientists rely on seismic activity readings or place monitoring equipment on the volcano itself, which can be risky and expensive. Now researchers have discovered that trees growing on volcanic slopes can act as natural early warning systems. When magma starts moving underground, it releases large amounts of carbon dioxide (CO₂). This gas escapes through the soil long before lava reaches the surface. While it is hard for instruments to separate volcanic CO₂ from the carbon dioxide already in the atmosphere, trees respond directly to it. The extra carbon dioxide acts like a fertilizer. Trees absorb it through their roots, which can cause their leaves to become greener and more vibrant. This subtle change isn’t obvious from the ground, but satellites can detect it. NASA and Smithsonian scientists are using satellite data to monitor changes in forest “greenness” around volcanoes. By tracking these patterns, they hope to improve early eruption warnings and give communities more time to evacuate. Researchers emphasize that this method won’t replace traditional monitoring systems, but it could significantly strengthen early warning efforts. The discovery also highlights something fascinating: forests are not just part of the scenery, they actively respond to changes happening deep within the Earth.
