A mum shared how much it hurt to learn her little boy was being bullied: “Finding out that my little man has been bullied has completely broken me. His innocent, literal way of thinking is so often misunderstood. Right now, all he wants to do is hide from the world.” All she wanted was for football to give him a couple of hours where he felt happy and safe again. Hull City’s Yu Hirakawa got in touch with the family, thanked them for their support, said he hoped to see them at the game that day and promised the lad his shirt. After the final whistle, Hirakawa headed over to the South Stand to find him and kept that promise. 🧡🖤 That's what a club being part of its community actually looks like. Took him a few minutes, and that little lad will remember it forever.
