Sara Conti / Niccolo Macii 🇮🇹 are thrilled about their first program of the season that they started with a PB of 74.67 Sara: “I feel so, so happy! It was amazing!” They worked a lot and hard over the summer and feel ready for the season. They admit that maybe last season they had to get used to the fact that they weren’t in a relationship anymore off the ice. “But now we learned that we can still do that very well. Last season was rollercoaster. We will see what this season brings but starting with a PB feels amazing of course.” On chosing “Carmen” as the SP: Niccolo: “We first had another SP, to “Queen” but we didn’t feel it. Then I was on vacation and I listened to so much music for four days straight. Then my girlfriend came and suggested: why don’t you try ‘Carmen’ and I was like: ‘why not’? Also Sara was convinced right away. Our coaches was first a bit sceptical. I also cut 7 different versions of the music. But in the end we really love and feel it. We feel like this is our best SP yet of our career.” Sara also always has a story in her head when skating to the program. It’s no concrete story but it’s about passion. 🔥 They don’t want to think too much about the Olympics yet but it’s of course a dream for them to qualify and skate in front of their home town crowd. Niccolo: “We achieved already a lot in our career, more than we actually ever imagined, but the Olympic games are still missing. My dream is that when we skate at the Olympics everyone in the arena stands up. We want to reach and move the people. Then the placement doesn’t matter.” #LombardiaTrophy #FigureSkating
