One day you're just a few friends from Orlando piling into a van to play for whoever shows up. The next, you're looking back on three decades of songs, stages, and memories you never could have imagined.
We've gotten to do this together for 30 years, and we still love it as much as we did when this band started. Maybe more. These songs started as ours and somewhere along the way they became yours too. We are only here because of that.
This isn't a finish line. It feels a lot more like a beginning. There's so much more on the way and we can't wait to share it with you.
To start the celebration, we dug through the Matchbox archives and resurfaced some live performances. Check them out at matchboxtwenty.com
With love and endless gratitude,
Rob, Paul, Kyle & Pookie
Happy 30th to the best band ever, @MatchboxTwenty. #mb20is30 #mb20 #matchbox20 #matchboxtwenty @RepairMethod @StalkingKyle @ThisIsRobThomas

Crazy to have seen these 2 AMAZING performances of Iris live in the same week. @googoodolls in NY and @machinegunkelly in MA. The original slays and MGK makes his own magic with an iconic song.
A reminder, LOL. And adding @mattymay
@ThisIsRobThomas “Back To The Start” acoustic and live on 9/21 would be amazing. #justsayin lol
Who else caught @machinegunkelly’s switch up in the lyrics to the 2nd vs of “miss sunshine” from what’s available to stream vs CD? Got give my son credit for the find for me.
