Bo Made It got Game Boy games running at 30 FPS on a tiny Waveshare e-paper board. The clever bit is in the display driver. Instead of treating every refresh the same way, he tuned the pulses sent to individual pixels and calibrated the transitions between gray shades. hackaday.com/2026/10/14/tiny… #EPaper #GameBoy #HardwareHacking

15 degrees of freedom, driven by five actuators. Vittorio Lumare's Yeah Hand has been shown gripping a glass, a bottle, and other everyday objects. The project also includes a ROS driver. Vittorio has been testing a bend-sensor glove to control the fingers. That makes me want to try a separate glove build with a DFRobot flex sensor. hackaday.io/project/204373-y… #Robotics #OpenSourceHardware #Makers

Brian Metelak from @digikey came by DFRobot and Mushroom Cloud Maker Space in Shanghai. At the makerspace, Shanghai Normal University students preparing to teach computer science were building with @UNIHIKER K10. The afternoon turned into a two-hour project sprint, and Brian shared a few words with the group. A few moments from the visit. Thanks for stopping by, Brian. #DFRobot #DigiKey #UNIHIKERK10 #MakerEducation #STEMEducation

One ball. Six moving arms. Two cameras watching at 120 fps. Tobias Kuhn's Hexa-Bouncer tracks the ball in 3D and moves its paddle for the next bounce. It's a wonderfully elaborate machine with exactly one job. See the build: electrondust.com/2026/10/05/… #Makers #Robotics #DIY #MotionControl #HardwareHacking

The keyboard moves. Your hand doesn't. Google's Gboard team built four conveyor belts with 29 keys on each one. The keys roll past your finger, turning typing into a tiny timing challenge. The DIY design files are open source. See the build: blog.google/intl/ja-jp/produ… #OpenSource #MechanicalKeyboard

Designer lamp outside. Proper maker project inside. The Open Task Light delivers up to 1,569 lumens at 95 CRI, with an Adafruit QT Py ESP32-S2 running CircuitPython at its core. Steven Bennett's design combines more than 20 printed parts with V-slot rails, a COB LED, custom PCBs, and a heat pipe. The files cover both clamp-on and freestanding builds, so the lamp can be repaired, modified, or rebuilt instead of treated as a sealed product. 🤖Build files: github.com/stevenbennett/Ope…
