I don't post on here very much! I'm mostly a lurker now, to my own detriment. I mostly post on Instagram and blusky. I will post on here when I open commission, my store, or when I go to a convention!
Or if I get sucked down a fandom rabbit hole lol.

It’s hard to believe we’ve overheated the planet so much we’ve changed the weather and it’s not the number one thing we are talking about

From the man who started the culture wars & focused on nothing but while Florida became more & more expensive & the insurance industry collapsed.
Another notable moment: DeSantis seemed to singal that culture-war issues are no longer salient with voters.
“Four years ago we were in the peak woke era. It alienated a lot of people. …Now the issues are different, and Republicans—it seemed like with some of the ads I was seeing, with how much money they were spending—they were really fighting yesterday’s battle.”

Perhaps — and hear me out here — if you can afford to lose $474 million while trying to buy the midterm elections, you can afford to pay your fair share in taxes.

Don't fall for the rebrand that JD, DeSantis, and Cruz are trying to pull. They want to run for President in 2028 so they're trying to pretend they were sensible republicans this whole time. They made their terms about trans people and woke DEI. Don't let them shift blame.

AOC reminds us that the big ugly bill republicans passed will kick in, in 2027 and republicans will blame the misery they caused on democrats. Yes they are that evil.

I met a girl who was involved with this, and she said she was shocked they were going to prison because it was so normalised, buying their way in basically, donating to libraries etc and she said it was so prevelant in her circle that she didn't know it was illegal.
Olivia Jade was 19 when federal investigators uncovered that her famous parents had paid $500,000 to get her and her sister into USC as fake rowing recruits. Neither girl was on a rowing team. Olivia found out about the scandal while partying with friends in Mexico, and both of her parents eventually went to PRISON.
Her mother was Full House actress Lori Loughlin. Her father was fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli. They had secretly paid a college admissions consultant to help get their daughters into the University of Southern California.
The scheme involved presenting the girls as athletic recruits, including staged rowing-related photographs, even though they didn't compete in the sport.
Meanwhile, Olivia was running a successful YouTube beauty channel. Before the scandal, she'd publicly said she cared more about college parties than school.
Then, in March 2019, everything collapsed.
Olivia was on spring break in Cabo San Lucas when someone called asking if she'd spoken to her mother.
She searched her mom's name online and discovered the federal investigation. She was sitting with friends and knew they were about to find out too.
"I remember just freezing and feeling so ashamed."
She returned home and never went back to USC.
Her parents eventually pleaded guilty. Her mother received 2 months in prison, and her father received 5 months.
In the interview featured below, Olivia sits with Jada Pinkett Smith's family while both parents are serving their sentences.
She admits that when the scandal first became public, she couldn't understand why people were angry. Wealthy families around her had always donated money to schools.
Then Jada's mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, challenges her decision to come to 3 Black women to tell her redemption story.
Olivia says she doesn't deserve pity and acknowledges how privileged her upbringing was.
The girl whose parents spent $500,000 to manufacture a college sports career ended up leaving the university altogether.
And her first major interview about it took place while both parents were behind bars.

Same old f*cking story. Democrats win the midterm elections, and the leaders immediately start talking about unity with Republicans. We the People aren't asking for unity. We're demanding accountability for the abuses of power committed by the trump administration.
