Wow! Maurene Comey, the former federal prosecutor behind some BIG cases, including Epstein, Maxwell and Diddy, has been awarded retroactive reinstatement and backpay after a judge ruled her firing was illegal!!!!
Going through this 55-page ruling now…the DOJ admitted Comey wasn’t fired for poor performance or misconduct. In fact, she had just agreed to join another major prosecution team hours before she was fired by email. The government later claimed Pam Bondi ordered her firing and Todd Blanche signed off on it afterward. The judge rejected that defense, ruling that neither could get around federal employment protections. Comey also alleges she was targeted because of her father, former FBI Director James Comey. That hasn’t been proven, but the judge has now ruled her firing was illegal.
BREAKING: A federal judge has ruled that the Trump administration unlawfully fired Maurene Comey, the former SDNY prosecutor who worked on the Epstein, Maxwell and Diddy cases. In a 55-page ruling, Judge Jesse Furman rejected DOJ’s constitutional defense of her firing, ordering retroactive reinstatement and backpay. Comey, daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, was fired in July 2025 without notice or explanation. The judge found that DOJ violated federal civil service law and her due process rights. Her separate political retaliation claim remains unresolved.

🚨 Jay Z v. Buzbee: The defendants filed their joint reply in support of their motions to dismiss Shawn Carter's Third Amended Complaint.
They're asking Judge Dale Ho to dismiss the entire complaint with prejudice, arguing probable cause based on Jane Doe's sworn statements, no adequately pleaded malice or special injury, and that the Judiciary Law § 487 claim doesn't apply to federal court conduct. They've requested oral argument. The motion is now fully briefed, with no ruling yet.

BREAKING: A New Mexico judge threw out the entire criminal indictment against actor Timothy Busfield today, citing prosecutorial misconduct. The dismissal was without prejudice, meaning prosecutors can seek a new indictment. Busfield was previously charged with four counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor under age 13.
